Clone Wars: Umbara
I watched the Umbara episodes. Wow that was intense.
In general I love "should we follow bad orders" stories, because all about loyalty yes please. This was an excellent example. I almost think making Krell an (unofficial) Sith was overkill: it'd be just as good if he really was loyal to the Republic, but thought clones were expendable. If he hadn't sent clones to attack each other and "just" sent them to their deaths in a suicide attack against the enemy, would he even have faced consequences? Sure, Anakin would have been pissed, but they need Jedi, and Krell isn't the only one who views clones as expendable. He was very obvious about calling them inferior and defective, and apparently nobody had ever objected before.
I don't think I can root for the Republic anymore, it's just too broken. It's better than the Separatists, but that isn't saying much. And there may not be a viable alternative. But still. A "republic" built on slavery and brainwashing, no thank you.
