Still trying to figure out how the gods died
Martin Jones! *shakes fist*
Next game.
Yesterday was the most fun D&D session since the first few. Only half the party was present, but unlike the previous few times when we were walking around the city and through libraries and trying to collect information pretty much at random, this time we were actually walking toward something (well, kinda), we discovered clues and stuff happened. We accidentally almost started a fight with a herd of 300 injured and angry fire bisons, until I threw a huge bottle of healing water on the leader and it was so confused it let us go. We found out that this current campaign is actually a "sequel", set a few decades later, to the last campaign the group played, before I joined. They'd told me about that campaign and I thought it was a cool twist, but it was even better for the others who'd actually played it, and it'll be fun to see when the others who weren't there find out. Our DM was pretty proud of himself. I'm very much looking forward to what else he's planned (especially because it definitely won't go according to plan, we're good at that.) There's a strong possibility time travel is involved...
I still don't really have a feel for how best to build my character, but I'm getting better at using what I have. Ah well, I'll figure it out eventually, and anyway so far the campaign focuses a lot more on story than fighting, which suits me.
