Well, nothing can ever be NiF, and that is sad. I am VERY fond of the characters: there's a super sweet impulsive-but-smart younger brother who adores his reserved, brave and super clever older brother and he's got a wife who FIGHTS PEOPLE and they are adorable. But I mean. They're not Mei Changsu now, are they? There's a lot of conniving (the translator's favorite word!) going on, but it's not really up to his standards, and the stakes don't feel as high and... Yeah. It's definitely not bad, and I'm really pleased there is so much focus on people who clearly care a great deal about each other, but it might almost have been better to not make it a sequel to NiF, as that just begs for a comparison where it's never going to come out on top. (I don't think. Unless things change a lot.)

But I am glad to hear that about the relationship in Disco! I might put the show back on my To Watch list. :D
