That sounds like a cool outline to copy for a D&D campaign xD "Here, have a very long dungeon crawl, but if you mess up the dungeon eco-magic-system everything will start going really wrong..." (I think that about several stories, but of course if the story is based on D&D to begin with it's even easier.)
