Today, for the first time in more than a year and a half, I went to an actual physical library. The library is usually very good at getting the ebooks I request but for some reason this one book I wanted they can't get as an ebook so I had to get it in physical form. I planned to just get this one book, I really should have known that I would leave with more than one; in the end I left with eight, which was a bit more than I expected. But they had interesting fantasy books originally written in German, lying right there on the table, and I couldn't resist.
It was very nice to be surrounded by so many books again! Unfortunately I still didn't feel completely comfortable just staying for longer and browsing (also I wanted to get home), but I should definitely check out this branch again.

Thanks for all the encouragement on my recent rec post, that was very nice and now I definitely want to try reccing things more regularly :)

Ah, libraries <3 I too went to one for the first time in a loooong time recently and even though the visit was brief it still felt so good to get to be in a real library again! I didn't leave with eight books, but only because I'm spending the summary isolated with my parents & sister, so I couldn't lug too many along with me XD

Are you reading all not-in-the-same-series books simultaneously or working your way through them one by one? Any favorites yet? I read The Raven Tower recently and would love to discuss the story if you feel like it when you've finished :)

I agree that the ending felt a little abrupt - I was so expecting the narrator and the "main character" to finally meet that I didn't see that tone of ending coming either XD I like the setting and the story, but I think I was expecting something different even though I went in blind, so I was a bit taken aback when Patience of the Hill just went "Better run now, things are about to Go Down, bye~!". Would also have loved to know more about all the planing and plotting going on between the flashback-time and the present. Definitely a world I'd like to learn more about, as well as the characters!
