Other people play HK
When I wanted more Hollow Knight content but didn't want to play myself at that moment I started to watch blind playthroughs. I started watching another when the players got to content I didn't know yet (or to Godhome, which isn't that interesting to watch.)
Ian and Casey from BornLosersGaming (playlist here) chat while Ian plays the game (mostly about the game but sometimes they get distracted by either stories or trolling each other.) They pay a lot of attention to the lore and try to figure out the story from the various hints the game gives, and their theories are a lot of fun. Ian is very good at the game, it is rare that it takes him more than two tries to beat a boss and with Casey's help he's also good at discovering things.
The playthrough by PlayFrame (playlist here) should be called "I am Bug Knight! Do you want to be friends?" Dan plays the game on his own, while Carey does the editing and sometimes adds fun commentary. Dan pays less attention to the lore or the story and just has fun exploring the whole place and discovering things and trying to make friends to share frozen yogurt with. He is good at discovering secrets but also often displays amazing talent at missing things. (The amount of times he walked right past stag stations or benches…) While not quite as good as Ian, he is also very good at both the fights and platforming. Dan also thinks the "bug knight" is cute, and after watching him for a while it is hard not to agree at least a little bit. A more cheerful and relaxed playthrough.
Merg (playlist here) plays on his own, and what I love about his playthrough is his cheerful excitement and enthusiasm for basically everything. Especially grubs. (With the exception of P5 – I didn't watch him play through Godhome, I only wanted to watch him fight Absolute Radiance and found out he hates PoH a lot.) He is also a very good player and pays attention to the world
Currently I watch Ian and Casey play the HK randomizer, and also occasionally challenges or multiplayer games (tag, hunter etc.) by fireb0rn. The randomizer looks fun, maybe I will try that myself.
