Limited Life #6
This week I watched fewer videos of the Limited Life session, so I optimistically thought that I could get my write-up done much faster, but not so much.
I started with "Cleo" – she has one of them amnesia cold ^^ Apparently Cleo gave Gem full permission to do whatever and very little information/instructions: Scar and Bdubs are her sons, Scar is the favorite, and to kill Etho if she gets the chance. Gem took all of those very seriously! I felt bad for Bdubs early on with how often "Cleo" called Scar her favorite son (but at least Bdubs is dad's favorite.) The conversation between "Cleo" and "Pearl" was a lot of fun, both of them definitely know what is going on, yep.
But I'm mainly here for the Clockers family drama. Scar thinks Bdubs tries to trick him onto a pressure plate trap at the TIES mob farm, Bdubs said the only reason he had a secret meeting with TIES was to tell them to pretend Scar's trap was not incredibly obvious. Scar says he doesn't trust Bdubs anymore: "There is one thing for sure on this server, there is never a sacred allyship." aösldkfsd
Etho comes for dinner to talk about how Scar needs to be disciplined for attempting to trap the TIES base, and he tries to test Cleo on her accent, and she immediately tells him "why would I listen to you" – yep, very Cleo ^^ Etho doesn't like how everyone keeps bringing up that he blew up Bdubs and Scar, saying he felt very bad about it; but he does agree with Tango that actually it worked out perfectly.
Scar: "Hey mum, I just killed someone, are you proud of me?" ^^ Scar suggests he and Cleo try to trap TIES' fireside chat, but they're discovered. Cleo: "Look at your dad." Scar: *deep sigh* "He's just Etho to me." Cleo says Scar could take him, Scar says "he is washed up, after all," and in the video real Cleo specifically adds text that she never said that, Etho said that and she just didn't disagree ^^ A bit later, Cleo: "I'm very proud of both of my sons, they've both done great murders."
Bdubs defends himself to Scar saying he would never betray [the family, in context], and Cleo agrees and also suggests that they kill dad. Scar would be up for it while Bdubs is strictly against it. Skizz kills Bdubs as payback for earlier, further alienating the Clockers and TIES. Bdubs turns red so now he and Scar are bloodbrothers, Cleo is very proud. Scar is whispering to Cleo that Bdubs is suspicious.
Etho comes over and invites them to a family outing at the campfire site, Scar finds an ender pearl teleporter and thinks Etho wanted to betray and kill them – I think he was right but I'm not 100% sure – and kills him. Bdubs and Scar have a conversation expressing shock about how easy Etho was to kill and that he really is washed up, Bdubs saying it's breaking his heart ^^ Etho says multiple times that he hates his family, except Bdubs. Cleo suggests that Bdubs should kill dad too, Bdubs says he'd never, he can't. Scar accidentally makes Etho waste an enderpearl, Etho says Scar just has to wreck everything, Cleo is outraged how he can say that to their child. Scar and Cleo investigate the suspected trap and it somehow triggers without either of them doing it deliberately, promptly killing Etho again.
Etho kills Scar with a fishing rod in revenge, Etho tells his sons that if they want to shoot his teammates they have to shoot him first – I'm a bit unsure on the timeline here tbh because different parts are in different people's videos. At some point Bdubs defends Etho to Cleo saying he's a great father (and he's in his prime!), and the next time Cleo suggests killing Etho Bdubs says he's probably sulking in a corner. Cleo is really fixated on killing Etho.
Finally Cleo manages to convince Bdubs to invite Etho to a family dinner with the goal to kill him – Scar tells Cleo he thinks it's 50:50 if Bdubs is on their side of TIES' at this point. Bdubs goes to invite Etho and I'm 95% sure he was planning to tell him the truth, he starts out saying he has unfortunate news etc., but then Skizzle tries to blow him up and the rest of TIES including Etho only express surprise that it didn't work. Sadly we don't see how that meeting ended since neither Bdubs nor Etho uploaded a video, but Etho does show up to the family dinner despite his misgivings ("family – you're disrespecting your father again") Bdubs: "Mum's been having you over so much I'm feeling a spark of romance," and then Etho is immediately attacked and killed by Cleo. He doesn't even defend himself, only asks for her to stop, but she's in full bloodlust mode (also: "you abandoned us.") Last thing Etho says before he dies is saying "my evil…" ^^
Right afterwards Etho tries to take revenge ("my wrench of a wife" – probably couldn't decide between wench and wretch ^^) and this time he manages to seriously injure her, but ends up dying again. He also calls himself Cleo's husband to Pearl, forgot the "ex" ^^ and then shoots at his family again, saying he doesn't trust them at all and he hates them, when Scar comes with an offering "peace and love." While Etho shoots at them Cleo and Scar emphasize to Bdubs how Cleo has always been there with them while Etho really hasn't, but while they're distracted TIES blow up Cleo and Scar.
Not a good session for Etho at all, he dies more times too. He said he didn't upload because of audio issues, which apparently has happened to him before, but, uh, I understand the jokes that it was content-related ;) Not a great week for him in general, there have been a lot of washed-up jokes especially after him losing around 25 duels to Gem on Hermitcraft, and now she's possessing his ex-wife!
I feel sorry for Bdubs, I sincerely think he just wants to have his family back together and not betray any of them, but for admittedly understandable reasons and a lot of baggage from previous seasons nobody believes him...
I also watched Grian, and his inability to not press buttons is hilarious. "Why did you press them," shouting through clenched teeth: "Because I'm ME!" Indeed. He caused quite a few accidental deaths to his teammates this session… the "curse" lives on ^^ And when Scar invites him to join the Clockers because his two guys are dying a lot Grian says he has an obligation to get them some time back because some of the deaths were his fault – sounds familiar. He comes up with plans, he waits in the sky (and plays Pokémon) while they try to execute it but are not as successful as hoped. Later, renaming the Ravager Grian was hilarious, but, yeah, very unpredictable. I facepalmed when he fell for Pearl's boogey trap, that was so incredibly obvious but, well, buttons.
Other favorite parts: the chicken attack on the mountain xD And that nobody died at the birthday party even though it was trapped by two different people and also a raid started. Also, I think Jimmy has the least time again? I heard it's mostly because he's too nice to kill people. Scott said he did get proof that Jimmy couldn't kill him. While Scar got several kills – maybe my favorite was the one on BigB because once he realized what the "Ender Boys" were planning he did it immediately, while they failed several times in a row. "Pearl" stealing the enchanter of TIES, their only allies, because she didn't know whose it was was a fun coincidence.
