I am going to miss Ten, but as I said I think that for him a regeneration was probably a good thing. The way they did it emphasized how much the Doctor needs his companions: without them and left to his own thoughts and issues he threatens to fall apart. I liked the story, but poor Ten! :(
(Other than you I had about two weeks to come to terms with Donna leaving, so maybe that's also why I'm more okay with it.)
