Hm, that's very different depending on if she's always been a telepath or if she suddenly becomes telepathic. The latter would be terrifying for her, the former for everyone else *g* Let's go with passive telepathy here, hearing only.
If she's always been a telepath she would have had no scruples using it to steal and sometimes blackmail people. It took Archie a while to notice, and then he realized that it was too late and if he tried to stop her she'd just leave. He managed to convince her to only use it when necessary, but their definitions of necessary were slightly different. It also strained their relationship because she knew how cautious he was of her.
Parker grows up and becomes the best thief in the world. She could also be a spy, but she's not really interested. Just because she can hear people's thoughts doesn't mean she understands them better, especially emotions because she can't read those. What she learns is that most people are easily confused, have a lot of secrets, rarely say what they mean or have additional reasons, and don't act or even think logically. So when she meets the team she's basically the same, but a bit more cynical.
When the team finds out all of them freak out because they all have so many secrets. Parker knew that would happen, that's why she hid is as long as possible, and it worked for a long time because people chalk up a lot to her being weird. But somehow one day it comes out, and all of them go into 'hiding' pretty much immediately, to protect their secrets and freak out in private. In this 'verse Parker and Hardison are together for longer because Parker feels safer because she can read his mind, but Hardison is as paranoid as ever. Eliot cooks a five course menu to calm himself down and then asks Parker more about what she can read. When he finds out that it's just surface thoughts and not all his secrets from his past he's relieved and offers her company while she feels sorry for herself because the others left. Her and Eliot go do something to cheer her up, then Eliot visits the others separately to tell them to calm down. The next day they all try very hard to pretend that everything is normal. Parker is touched.
Hardison is still careful, but she tries to keep out of his head mostly, and after he tests that a few times they fight about how should she know when she's allowed to read his mind? She can't read his mind! (Well, she can, but not when she doesn't.) After a day they organize some kind of signal when she's allowed and when not.
Some plot things would have happened differently (she would have found out earlier that Eliot worked for Moreau, for example, and Nate would do less things behind the team's back because he thinks Parker is very perceptive), but not many.
