Bright Sessions 49-51

49, "Movie Night" – aww, an evening with friends :) (and okay there are issues and Wadsworth called Sam but still.)

50, "Rose" – I wish I liked this more, and there were parts I liked a lot (turns out Agent Green in Rose's head is a lot of fun), but overall, idk, the songs didn't quite work for me.
Rose could talk with Chloe and Sam about privacy violations ;)

51, "Ellie" – oh man this was great. I loved Wadsworth and Green, and Wadsworth and Adam, and Wadsworth and Joan.
So basically all the extra information she got as director made Wadsworth afraid for her family's safety and overly paranoid and then willing to do the "ugly things", "because I can and so that you don't have to." "I dislike how messy it gets," psychopath.
Of course Wadsworth was excited to have influence over Joan. "You've always understood me." "That's a chilling thought." / "We'll go extinct" – oh man Wadsworth read too much X-Men and from the wrong side. Wadsworth told Joan she used Mark's DNA for her immunization and then immediately asks her to come back to the AM, wow.
It's still hard to think of Wadsworth as Ellie, it sounds too harmless for her.

Agreeing on ep 51, it was so great! I love the look into Wadsworth's head, loved seeing her not "redeamed" but explained. Can't wait for the next episode~!

The songs in ep 50 actually worked for me, but I'm always a sucker for any kind of musical (I blame my dad for that). And yeah, there are so many people in this series who need a big talking to about privacy XD I mean, I don't care how natural if feels for someone to read my thoughts - they're my thoughts and I didn't agree to share them!

Oh, and now that I'm caught up I'll definitely try to make time for reading the interesting fic you've written!

Yeah, I tend to give Chloe a pass because it's hard for her not to listen to people's thoughts, but she learned more control and more recently it definitely sometimes sounded like she didn't bother much with trying to not listen because she got used to it, which is not cool. And Sam often uses her ability to invade people's privacy now that she knows how, for the "greater good" i.e. spying on the AM but still. (Felt weird that it was Wadsworth who called her out on that.) I expect that will come up again, and I look forward to it :)
