Hey, Red

I finished Transistor! That was fun. Took me a little to get into the story but I started to enjoy the gameplay very quickly. And I really liked the art and music as well (not as much as that of the other Supergiant Games but that is a high bar.) I loved the elevators/gondolas especially, and Red.
It also felt like a nice proof to myself that I did get better at playing videogames in the last six months: there is no easy mode, but despite that the first time I died was during the final boss battle, and it was very close. (I didn't use any Limiters but still.) The concept of fighting another Transistor user was very cool! I hadn't prepped ideally because I wasn't sure if there'd be other processes around etc. The second time I won without losing even one of my functions :) At level 11, after 6.6 hours.

I'm not entirely sure yet about my feelings on the ending. It felt narratively satisfying in the moment. As soon as I had a few more moments to wonder what actually happened I felt more conflicted; but I also kind of don't want to get too much into theorizing about the setting/plot/etc. I do think I'll probably play it again as a "Recursion", not sure how soon, and I look forward to what else I will notice on my second playthrough.

Another game I really need to check out! It's been on my to-play list for a loooong time. Did you play it on computer or some form of console?

Okidoki! My computer isn't quite up to gaming (about time to get a new one soon), so I'm stuck with console for the moment. But it sounds like a game that'll be right up my alley! Will be checking it out, even if its setting/story is sad :)
