Hugo: I want shiny

I wasn't a big ribbon collector at Dublin Worldcon, I only had five; still, my main takeaway from the AO3-Hugo-"discussion" is that I'll be very disappointed if at future Worldcons there won't be "Contributor to a Hugo-Award-Winning Project" ribbons. Ideally with the AO3 kudos symbol on it.

That would be a very apt and popular ribbon! (Also a better means of protest than these for-profit "Hugo award winner" t-shirts and mugs, which *do* constitute a trademark violation AFAIK.)

Yeah, I don't think selling "Hugo award winner" merchandise is a good idea, that might actually get the lawyers involved and then everyone will be even more unhappy.

Convention badge ribbons are one of those things you can order and customize online, similar to business cards.

I found a bunch of companies just by searching convention badge ribbons.

I collected a ton of ribbons at San Jose last year (my first was a Murderbot one!) and I would wear the fuck out of a ribbon referencing AO3's win if I ever get to another WorldCon. 😍
