Leverage 4x18 The Last Dam Job

First time in a while I had to wait for a new episode of a show I love, but it was totally worth it. So much love!

Was there a contest somewhere for "most geeky references" and I didn't notice? Batman, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Captain America, Stargate, Doctor Who and Die Hard in The Radio Job, and that's just those I recognized immediately. Sci-Five! ...No. Hehe.
It was totally a batcave, and they even had the painting of old!Nate! And Eliot signal with a wolf, omg.

Team! <3 The team feeling is what I love most about this show and the season finale delivered perfectly, with bonus back-up. All the character dynamics were great - Eliot and Quinn xD "I don't know how Eliot does this." Hardison and Chaos, mutual hate. Parker and Archie - awww, he called her his daughter asdfhjk and Parker cares and it's strange, I love it. And Hardison calls Archie sir! Archie tazers Chaos for talking about Parker, YES! Quinn and Chaos working together, "round down" and falling down a waterfall, perfect. (That gives proof that falling down a waterfall is perfectly survivable, btw...)

And Maggie! First I was disappointed Sophie didn't have a back-up, but then she brought Maggie because Maggie is an honest person and her friend and Sophie's been training her and they knew Nate wouldn't approve lkasdfsdf and Maggie is all relaxed and talking about Nate and Sophie together and admits that she was attracted to Sterling - love! Poor Nate, hehehe.

I love how they've handled Sophie's and Nate's relationship - they actually act like mature adults! Well, adults, the maturity varies, but it's still a joy to see. I have to make that post about why I love Sophie, especially when comparing her to Inara and Elizabeth. I want more Sophie screentime, and as much as I love her with Nate I want much more Sophie&Parker and especially Sophie&Hardison, hopefully next season (and also Nate&Parker, those are the relationships we don't see enough of.)

They did play up that parents & kids vibe xD especially in the end, awww, they're all so adorable. Eliot is somewhere in the middle (the oldest sibling!), loved his scenes with Nate and Dubenich.

And Nate! The scene in the beginning with Dubenich, perfect. I especially loved the part where they argued over whose team it was. He was really, really lucky he didn't get shot more often or fatally, and the ending with Dubenich was not him acting rationally, but taking down Latimer was masterfully done. Ice-cold, and then he loses it a bit, and then reins himself in for his team. Well done.

They didn't do anything bad to the team, whew! Team is still together and happy and having lots of fun (and it's the perfect starting point for that story I've been plotting together with anon where Parker steals a time machine and then has to go steal a timeline, yay!)

I'm so glad this episode was so good! The beginning of season 4 was okay, but the last few episodes were great. I'm okay with the wait :) (I might think differently in a few weeks when I've run out of fic - I'm dangerously close, why isn't there more? And where are the vids?) In conclusion, loved it, will definitely watch again more than once!

So much squee! I'm happy the season ended on such a high note.

omg, the scene with Maggie, Sophie, and Nate... so that's what it feels like when yout headcanon gets canon confirmation. :)

Loved the scene with Hardison and Chaos: "Wow, that's what Eliot must feel! Just wanna hit something."

Ah, so much fantastic character interaction in this ep.

They didn't do anything bad to the team, whew!

Yes! I was really worried that they'd go dark with Nate; I mean, it's in his character and it would give lots of potential for future drama. Glad they didn't go down that route. But just knowing that it was a real possibility made for great tension!

eta: oh, oh, and the scene where Eliot points the gun at Dubenich to save Nate... and, the look on Sophie's face. This show has such a great ensemble.
