Summary: Lin Chen is a study in contradictions. A warrior and a healer. Neutral, unless it concerns Mei Changsu. Desperate to save his friend yet equally determined to respect his wishes.

A series of non-linear, interconnected stories starring Lin Chen set pre, during, and post canon.
Why I love it: I aready had a lot of Lin Chen feelings, but somehow this fic managed to give me even more of them. Great character study.

Summary: "I was wonderin' if you might… teach me?"
Roy can only stare back at him. Teach him… what, how to pull? How to fuck? Roy must be dreaming, because there's no way in hell the Jamie Tartt he knows has the bollocks or the self-awareness to ask him for such a thing. Jamie's eyes only seem to get rounder the longer Roy looks at him, as if he's growing more hopeful of a positive answer. That particular delusion snaps Roy out of it. "No. Fuck no. Why the fuck would I wanna do that?"
Why I like it: This story was both somehow exactly the kind of Keeley/Roy/Jamie fic I wanted, and the story that made me realize that unfortunately this pairing doesn't work for me because Roy is Jamie's coach. But apart from hitting a squick of mine it was very good.
Adventures in Student-Sitting byHokuto, Naruto
12k, gen, Haku & Kisame & Itachi
Summary: When Zabuza goes missing, Haku gets help finding him from an unlikely source.
Why I like it: This was unexpectedly cute, if you can say that about a bunch of killers. Kisame is very curious about the boy Zabuza took on as a student, and Itachi is not enthused.
Destiny, Fate, and all that Crap byRubick, Original
21.5k, f/f, fantasy, arranged marriage
Summary: Carielle never intended to marry. She’d always assumed she’d die in battle before she got to this point. Her father used to joke that she came out of the womb holding a dagger in each hand.
But her father is dead, and now Carielle is the King, and she’s not only getting married, but to a woman she’s never met.
It would be nice if her future wife could at least stand to be in the same room with her.
Why I like it: I like the characters, and the extended cast and background are well done.
