More Farscape: I love Moya
Still ridiculously in love with this show. Especially Moya. Best spaceship ever y/y?
This should be a thing, people discussing which spaceship is the best. I mean obviously it wouldn't be a fair discussion because Moya would win, but it would still be fun. Or I think the TARDIS is alive, too? They should hang out together! There should be a vid about ALL the awesome spaceships. In fact if I knew the perfect song I would pay for this at the next fandom helps auction. Suggestions very welcome.
The Hidden Memory:
John goes on a suicide mission to save Aeryn's life and sends Chiana away to save Aeryn while he gets tortured horribly. But Aeryn doesn't accept that and goes on her own suicide mission to save him right back! Awww <3 (I have the strange feeling that this reaction would have seemed a little bit weird to me before I became involved in fandom. Whatever.)
How awesome is Gilina? So very much. I'm not even that angry about her death because she had great scenes before, it wasn't for nothing, and it was plausible that she'd act that way (hesitating at the last second - she is a Peacekeeper, after all.)
Aeryn confronting Crais was harsh, but well done. She is so badass ♥ And D'Argo and Zhaan come, too! I also liked what little we got to see of Stark.
And baby Moya! $"ยง$%&/* Peacekeepers for messing with Moya's baby :( Poor Moya.
Bone to be Wild:
Zhaan is a plant! ♥
To be honest I was so worried about Moya, her baby, and her crew, that it was very hard to be interested in monster girl (Emily?) and crazy botanist (Bernie?). I couldn't decide whether to feel sorry for the Peacekeepers in the end or not. (I really hope we'll learn more about the Peacekeepers soon!)
I loved Aeryn and Moya's baby ♥ Sooo adorable. And Pilot and Aeryn, too. Awww. And Moya asks Aeryn to name her baby!
Family Ties:
Rygel, no! Damn, after episodes like "The Flax" I almost forgot how selfish he can be. And he brought back Crais, ouch - this cannot end well :( Crais will probably become more interesting from now on, but poor Talyn!
I loved everyone's goodbyes (or not-goodbyes), especially John and Rygel, John and Aeryn, John and D'Argo, D'Argo leaving his family's image behind, Chiana cooking for them so they have one last happy meal together... *sniffles*
And then the ending! I'm very glad I don't have to wait a few months. Aeryn naming Talyn, awww. John giving D'Argo his good luck charm, and the giant explosion, Crais stealing Talyn, Rygel wants to stay, John talking to Moya...
Mind the Baby
I love this show so much <3
I was confused in the beginning - where did the Shiang come from? How did Moya get away from them? And why did Zhaan suddenly go crazy? She was weird in this episode, especially because it was so sudden. I still loved her scenes with the others.
John teaches D'Argo rock-paper-scissors, hehehe xD
Oh, Aeryn <3 Forced to make a deal with the devil and risk Talyn to save John and D'Argo, because they don't leave each other behind, and feeling horrible about it. *hugs her* And John, easy for you to say "there has to be another solution", but how about actually offering one, hm? (I think the words he says most often might be "Shut up and listen!".) Well-meaning, but not at all helpful. She's doing the best she can and incidentally saving everyone's life. At least he comforts and reassures her afterwards when she feels like she's failed. And the conversation about people changing was great: for John Aeryn and Crais are completely different people, but Aeryn knows that they've had similar upbringing, and she just hopes that Talyn will be okay. Aeryn and Crais are interesting together.
Everyone is so obviously protective and fond of Moya's baby, I love it. Moya most of all, of course. Aeryn even gave him her father's name (and D'Argo hates it, heh.) As an aside, when Aeryn tells Crichton about her parents and starts with "a battle-hardened warrior" and he automatically assumes that it's her father, but it's her mother, that was a great little moment.
Moya and Talyn! I love how they've managed to give a baby spaceship so much personality, how plausible it is that he's unsure and afraid and easily susceptible, and that in the end he's asking for Crais and Crais accepts, not the other way around. (Also in my head when Crais says he "commands", what he means is that he can use the systems directly but Talyn still has an emergency override. Crais telling Scorpius that Crichton is dead was a nice touch too, btw.) He even tells Moya that he chose his own captain and that he'll be okay.
But poor Moya :(
There are many great scenes and moments I forgot to mention here because it's past midnight, but in conclusion: Farscape is amazing and Moya is the best <3

Talyn leaving was SO SAD. Totally understandable in the scheme of the story too, but oh man, heartbreaking. Poor kid.
And normally I'm not all all Aeryn/Crichton 4EVA, but that scene at the end is possibly one of the sweetest ever. And the fact that they're talking about change, and whether it's possible for Crais to "be more" as Aeryn has--that's like, the whole show in a nutshell for me. <3!

Aeryn and John are so sweet together, and I completely buy their slow romance. They fight and they argue and they save each other and they try to be there for each other, awww.

Thanks for those detailed recaps, they bring back so many lovely memories, I'm kind of getting in the mood for a rewatch now. I'd forgotten that the Moya pregnancy happened in season 1 already, that was so off the wall and sweet. Sometimes Farscape got a bit too silly and trippy for my taste, but other than that it had great characters, great storylines and equal amounts of lightheated fluff and drama. Very much like Firefly it had a great ensemble cast, and I like that in a show.

Glad you enjoyed them, and if I could inspired you to rewatch :) I keep thinking of things I didn't mention because there were just so many wonderful moments.
I'm looking forward to some of the silly bits, too: I saw a picture with fluffy pink bunny costumes once and I'm very curious what that is all about xD (The advantage of not many people talking about Farscape is that I'm mostly unspoiled :) )
And I love the "misfits build their own strange family" element in both Firefly and Farscape <3

And Aeryn? I love her! I'm fangirling so much on her! :)
