D&D: Fighting gods, cont'd
Mar. 10th, 2018 02:46 pmOur current D&D campaign is now over two years old and 87 sessions long and only getting better. We always had roleplay elements, of course, but it was difficult especially at first because most of our characters woke up with no memories or backstory, so we first had to develop their characters before figuring out how they relate to each other. For a long time a lot of our roleplay was around NPCs. My character developed one actual friendship with another party member, but then that character died. But by now, after two years, we finally have more inter-party roleplaying and I love it.
Things that happened since my last update: ( now with dead gods ) It feels like we're in the last quarter of a really good book, I really want to know how it ends and that it has a great ending but at the same time I don't want it to end.
Our DM has joked about turning our campaign into books, and I was also joking but then I accidentally divided our campaign plot into arcs for "books" (works surprisingly well!) and started thinking along the lines of which side stories and characters should be cut or their role expanded in a book adaption, and I really want to read this now. Ugh.
(Also I think I'm developing a crush on our cleric's player. I'm not used to that, it happens so rarely. Suddenly I'm second-guessing myself every time I touch her (she's sitting next to me! There are emotional RP moments! But I can't remember how often I used to touch her and I don't want it to be weird. Ah well, she still voluntarily sits next to me so it's not too weird yet.))
