still better than no muffins
Dec. 19th, 2018 09:06 pmI finally had ideas for a post and maybe even Yuletide treats, but all that was ruined by the fact that my wrist is hurting again. Usually it's the right one, this time the left; every time I think this one should be easier because I'm right-handed, but I keep underestimating how much I use the left one and I'm not used to being as careful with it. Boo.
Tomorrow is my last day at this job, which is good (if I manage to find a new job quickly, but I'm trying optimism even though I hate looking for jobs. To do starting January, next to lots of classes and exams.) I wanted to bring a cake to the office, but I couldn't find the cake pan I wanted so I made muffins, and I looked away for five minutes and they're burnt on top. Again. Annoying.
Tomorrow afternoon my flatmate's mom comes to stay with us until Christmas, which is fine; I just hope she's not interested in my room because, uh, I did not get around to cleaning up most of it. (I had a few hours of unnecessary anxiety-induced not doing anything in the past few days.) I do now have a person-sized teddybear that I'm borrowing from LB while he's out of the country for three weeks, excellent for hugs. (Its name is Bärnd.)
