Cabin Pressure: Zurich

schneefinkI only found out a few days ago that the last two-part episode of "Cabin Pressure" aired at Christmas! Zurich.
Overall I loved it, but it took me a few minutes to get back into it. I don't like it when characters embarrass themselves, and after a long break I was uncomfortably surprised by that. But once I was back in the atmosphere of the show it didn't bother me as much because it wasn't so bad in the context of the show, i.e. sitcom, but also that they all care about each other.
Happy endings! Martin gain confidence and keeps the job, Douglas gets promoted, Caroline and Herc get closer, and Arthur doesn't let himself be misled by his dad. (John Finnemore wrote a nice blog post about each of the characters' endings here.) There is literally gold in Gerti!
It was hilarious as usual, I can't recall anything from the past couple of years that's managed to make me laugh as much and as consistently as Cabin Pressure. (Except my brother.) "A hundred strawberry lollis and the princess of Liechtenstein." xD
And it was sweet as well, with Douglas giving Martin honest advice, and especially Caroline and Herc. And Arthur. Crew! <3 (Someone is writing the "5 times Martin came to visit and one time the OJS crew came to visit him" fic, right?) There was a yellow car, a silly game, a lemon, and they're flying to a destination starting with A, nice throwbacks. Great ending to a fantastic radioshow.
