- It's the summer holidays, which means that my mom, a teacher, is home a lot more. I'm frequently reminded why I want to move out soon. It's the little things, but they pile up. I love her, but we'll both be happier not living together anymore.

- Flatmate status: HY can now move in after all, but DD probably can't because of problems with her old lease (basically house management are a bunch of dicks.) It would be a huge shame if that's the case, I've really been looking forward to living with DD: we share many interests and we've already made a lot of plans, like movie nights and hockey games and cooking & baking together. But life happens.

- Next try ordering the kitchen tomorrow. Washing machine is on Thursday (there's a sale.) Friends of friends are moving to the US and giving away furniture, so we'll see on the weekend if we can maybe use something. I still need to write the sublease contracts, not looking forward to that. And a bunch of other stuff to organize.

- I've made a list of things I want to finish this week, and if I can't do it I know I'll have to give up my plan to finish my thesis in July and I'll concentrate only on the apartment for now. I hope I can do it, I still mostly think I can do it, despite the fact that yesterday and today have been not very productive. I wrote some fic, but that shouldn't be the priority right now...

- The past few days have been very hot and I'm hoping for rain and maybe a thunderstorm tonight, that'd be great.
