Apart from everything to do with uni, 2015 was pretty good.

I wrote a lot! According to AO3 stats I wrote 33.3k words of fic this year, and that doesn't include a few short kinkmeme fills. For comparison, since 2009, when I started publishing fic, I wrote 86.5k overall. Yay writing :)

Fic I wrote:
Hockey RPF:
Drawn to You
Beau Bennett/Robert Bortuzzo soulbond prostitute fic. A kinkmeme fill, still not entirely sure how it happened.
Home Is Where My Rink Is
Alien!Sid fic that I started for a friend and that grew a lot longer than I planned.
Sacrifice the Body
Sid and Flower ritually sacrificing Olli to the hockey gods at center ice. Mmm idfic.
Stick Your Head Out
Turtle!Phil, Bear!Geno, Lynx!Flower, et al.
short ones:
Flying for Beginners
5 Hockey RPF/Jupiter Ascending drabbles, because I wanted this crossover to exist. There is a podfic!
Captain's Mark
Sid&team, Sid&Flower possessiveness and tattooing. More idfic, yum.
Emotional Men
Geno and Flower being dorks (in bed.)

Other fandoms:
Kadavo, Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Canon gave such an excellent set-up for slavery fic, I had to torture Obi-Wan and Rex a bit more.
Sitting by the Tree, Killjoys
I love Dutch and Johnny's friendship.
Dark Blue Skies, Steerswoman series
Willam facing scary wizard(s).

Hockey and Penguins Hockey RPF were still my main fandoms, but I branched out: even in hockey I'm starting to pay more attention to other leagues. (It was not a good year for hockey RPF fandom.) Other fandoms I was into, to varying degrees and for a more or less short time: the ones I wrote for of course, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Killjoys and Steerswoman, and also Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), Hamilton, MCU, Mad Max: Fury Road, Jupiter Ascending, The 100, Babylon 5, The Martian, Kingsman, Les Misérables, Flight Rising, … I still read fic from almost any fandom if it comes recommended.

I'm still mainly on DW and I manage to post fairly regularly, usually at least once a week and often more than that. I'm less often on Tumblr than last year, I got a Twitter account for hockey reasons and it's as time-consuming as I feared, I spend some time on Reddit also for hockey reasons, and sometimes I'm still on LJ.

I'm also still in my old position in the OTW. I thought about quitting multiple times, but things are actually looking up right now and I'd be sorry to miss the next part. It'd almost feel unfair, after I made it through the hard times. Which isn't rational, but still.

I moved into my own apartment! I had to get a kitchen and furniture and move all my stuff and pick roommates and get legal&administrative stuff sorted out and then actually learn how to live in it. Some of it I'm still working on, but all in all I'm really happy with how it went and with my new place.
As I'd hoped, living away from home also helped me get along with my parents better, which is great. I still see them at least once a week for lunch, which is nice, and I talk to LB every second day or more often.

I still play hockey and I still sing in the choir, both of which I enjoy a lot. I almost don't debate anymore, which is a bit of a pity but I often don't feel up for it. There were fewer movie nights with LK&friends this year, because he got a job among other things. I didn't meet many new people, but for the most part I managed to stay in regular contact with my friends.

The most frustrating part of 2015 was that I still didn't manage to finish my thesis. Every once in a while I made good progress, but was derailed by apartment stuff or periods when I didn't feel so well. Recovery is not linear, no matter how much I wish it was. Therapy helps.

Plans for 2016:
- finish my thesis, which is the last thing I need to finish my bachelor's degree. Deadline is in February, the first draft should be done at the end of January, so the next month will be busy!
- get a job. It doesn't have to be my dream job – I don't even know what that would be yet – but something that I don't hate doing, that leaves me enough energy to do other things in my free time, and with a good enough salary so that I can be independent from my parents.
- visit my relatives. Many of them I haven't seen in over a year, which is a shame. I haven't even met my youngest cousin yet!
- write fic, cook and bake, keep doing some kind of sport, get up earlier in the mornings, procrastinate less, hugs.
- do the best I can, enjoy life as much as I am able, and be as happy as I can be.

Thank you all for being around, for letting me share parts of my life with you and for sharing parts of your lives with me. I really appreciate it. I hope you have a great year and good things happen to you and your loved ones.
