Why I love it: When I asked for post-canon fic I originally thought about 1-3 years after, but this is set 15 years post-canon and it turns out that's even better. I love all the characters and what became of them, and Jingrui and Yujin's friendship is the best.

Summary:Nine months ago Rowan left the Outskirts, searching for the wizard Slado. Now, Bel is finally free to follow her.
Why I love it: I really like Bel's PoV here, her thoughts on the Inner Landers and their stories and her looking for Rowan using what she knows of her. Great missing scene.

Summary: Min will rescue the sacred princess. She knows this, and always has; it is foretold. But the girl she finds in the Shadow King's fortress is not the princess she had expected, and she does not understand it.
(aka, your average fairytale: girl argues with girl, girl saves girl, girl saves girl right back, with a side of bedsharing and amnesia and stubbornness.)
Why I love it: This is a very sweet fantasy fairy tale for a 5 minute fandom that I enjoyed a lot.
Natsume Yuujinchou

Why I love it: Oh hey, unconventional structures! There should be more of this. Nicely done, and I liked the character details, the Natsume&Tanuma part especially was very sweet.

Summary: The first time Johnny and Peter meet up at the Statue of Liberty on Christmas morning, Johnny's kind, thoughtful, and supportive to Peter at a time when Peter, still mourning the loss of Gwen Stacy, really needs it. Peter doesn't know how he'll ever pay him back for that, but he's sure going to try.
Or, Peter tries his best, throughout various Christmases, to be there for Johnny when he needs it.
Why I love it: Very nice Christmas fic and very nice friends-to-lovers fic, I really enjoyed reading about the two of them trying their best to be there for the other when he needs it.

Not the one who would be living with the result, he had been about to say. But they had hardly accepted Tharkay’s invitation as casual houseguests.
Why I love it: This is exactly what I imagined happening after the books.
Mulan

Summary: This is how the world actually works: instead of leading soldiers into battle, Shang is given command over a disorganized bunch of conscripted civilians who don't know the business end of a sword. Instead of fighting to defend China, he is stuck training these misfits into something resembling soldiers. And instead of being devoted to a wife or his job as a soldier, he is becoming attracted to one of his men.
Why I loved it: Great look at the movie from Shang's PoV. I liked him in the movie but even more here.
