Spring rain is nice sometimes
May. 7th, 2013 04:11 pmI'm back from Switzerland. It was fantastic! Such a beautiful country, great concerts, and a lot of fun with very nice people. I want to do a proper report, but not right now, so just have some random things:
*It rained a lot while we where there, but I mostly didn't mind. Even that one time where we had to run through a thunderstorm after the concert to get to the bus was fun, and then everyone in the bus, all dripping wet, started singing "Jetzt ist Sommer".
*Puzzle games were very popular. I even cracked the triangles one, on the third day! On the way back we had enough experience in bus tours that even the 12 hours trip was not so bad. In related news, I know have a temporary henna flower painting on my palm, it's very pretty.
*Before the trip I was annoyed that we had to wear (and most of us consequently buy) black skirts/dresses, but by now I really like my new dress. Hopefully I'll have more chances to wear it soon. Other than the final concert in Vienna on Friday in the Golden Hall of the Concert Hall - it'll be amazing.
*For the first time in months I lost all of my tabs. I'm sure there was some interesting stuff in there, and some that I'm annoyed that I lost, but all in all I don't really mind, it's almost relaxing.
*Iron Man 3 spoilers everywhere. (Especially Tumblr, wtf Tumblr? Not everyone uses Tumblr Savior, why should I have to install something additional to use a basic service, ugh.) I want to go watch it this weekend with friends, after the two exams I have this week (one of which I haven't even started studying for...), I'm very much looking forward to it. By then I'll probably have missed all the best reaction posts, but whatever. I'm behind on every other series too. And on catching up with my various reading lists, I only skimmed very quickly after coming back. I need to spend less time online; I didn't even miss it much while I couldn't, at least that's something. Except the ability to look up hockey game scores in the morning.
*A lot of work to be done this month, mostly for university but also for the OTW, and several things I want to do with my friends, and I want to sleep too. After Switzerland I'm more optimistic than I've been in a while that I'll manage to cut down on internet use, even though objectively today hasn't been that promising. Hopefully it's justified.
Speaking of, lunch and then work.
