Early March: still very cold
Mar. 2nd, 2018 12:35 amChecking in: February is over, which is good because it was a weird month. Skiing vacation was nice, LB and I got three days of good snow (unfortunately mostly foggy) and spent time with our relatives. After the vacation my wrists are doing worse again, not because of skiing but because, as LB put it, "I was careless in bed." I hurt myself getting into bed and leaning on my hands wrong, stupid.
This year I adopted an idea I got from (iirc)
sholio: instead of New Year's resolutions I'm doing monthly resolutions, because one month is a reasonable time frame to try out new things and see if they work for me. In January I made regular meal plans, which it turns out is very helpful and which I'm trying to keep going (mixed success but at least that's something.) In February I decided on a regular bedtime, which mostly worked (D&D nights were an exception, and I also failed the last two days because they were bad brain days) and which I also want to try and continue.
In March I decided to get up earlier: I want to get out of bed half an hour after my alarm rings. This is clearly necessary because today I already failed terribly. Usually in the mornings first I hit Snooze three times and then I read on my phone, headlines and new fic and fic updates. Very nice, but not helpful for productivity, and classes start again next week. Being productive is hard, maybe this will help.
