Still no time-turner
Jul. 6th, 2020 11:15 pmEvery time I feel like I'm behind on everything I should/want to do, which recently is often, I have to remind myself that the reason for it is because I was busy doing fun things with friends and family, like playing games or watching movies or trying out stand-up paddling (which was fun, but I wasn't careful enough and got a very bad sunburn, especially on my feet.)
Last week I went shopping for clothes, originally with my cousin to find something for her and then the second time on my own (though I kept sending pictures to DD asking for advice.) I'm generally not the biggest fan of going shopping but for some reason this time I enjoyed it a lot. It's a very nice feeling to find something pretty that I'll enjoy wearing. And I can afford it, so why not? I think I might try it more often.
I also finally finished a TMA fic that was almost done for months, then got a major edit, and then was again almost finished for weeks. I didn't post it yet because I decided to save it for a rainy day: sometimes when I feel bad, posting fic helps. It's nice having one in reserve, although I will probably get impatient and post it earlier, we'll see.
And I finally started writing a Skyjacks fic for h/c-bingo, and was immediately reminded of the difficulties of writing fic set in the future for a story in progress… ah well, that part shouldn't be too difficult to edit if something important does change. I hope.
