Hi! Thank you very much for writing a story for me! :D

Things I like:
* I love friendship/team/found family fic. Characters who grow to like each other, trust each other, and eventually would do many things for each other, yes please. Especially when they're in slightly different positions/places/there are obstacles etc.
* Related to that, navigating relationships: how do they deal with daily life, how do they support and comfort each other at the end of the day, how do they solve conflicts, what happens if there are conflicting loyalties? I'm a big fan of loyalty, betrayal, (self-)sacrifice, and related tropes in general.
* Some other things I love: h/c, competent characters, hugs, plot, happy or at least optimistic endings, …

Things I don't like for Yuletide:
* Stories with a very dark or hopeless ending
* Explicit rape or abuse
* Character bashing
* Stories focusing on harlequin romance tropes or explicit sex
* Different world AUs, like coffeeshop AUs or Harry Potter fusions. I love the canon worlds of all these fandoms so I'd prefer to read fic taking place there. What-if AUs are cool.

Have fun! The prompts below are guidelines, I hope they help you think of ideas.

Spiderlight – Adrian Tchaikovsky
Dion, Lief, Cyrene, Nth | Enth

The Dark Lord is dead! And so is their "god", and their entire worldview turned out to be a lie. I would really like post-canon fic: either shortly afterwards, the difficult homecoming, or the later years. I would like to see Dion trying to reform the church, which is going to be very difficult, and grappling with what of her "faith" remains and what it means; and how her surviving party members try to help (or not.) I would like to see Lief and Cyrene and Enth each trying to figure out what comes next, especially Enth, and Lief and Cyrene trying to support him.
I'm not a big fan of Harathes, so please don't focus on him. I think that he has a sliver of a chance to eventually become less of an asshole if he listens to Dion, especially since the new teachings don't allow him to simply rely on him being Light, and that could potentially be interesting; but I also think that he could try to use his status as a member of the heroes who slew the Dark Lord to cause harm, in which case I would gladly see the others stop him.
(And if you're in the mood for something different, you could also write a story where characters from another fandom of mine (see my journal) play Spiderlight as an actual D&D campaign...)

Children of Time – Adrian Tchaikovsky

(My book review)
The spiders are fascinating, and I would love more spider civilization worldbuilding. What other technological things do they do differently than we do, or do they have that we don't, and what about societal differences and how it changes, and what about their art? Etc. etc. You could tell me stories about spider libraries, or spider sports, or spider university – pretty much anything. Or how spider civilization changes after contact with the humans and they try to adapt so that they can live side by side.
I also loved how the worldbuilding was always combined with stories about characters we already kind-of knew and how they were always similar but at the same time different, especially the relationships between them. I liked all the Portias and Fabians and Biancas, and I loved how Portia and Fabian's relationships varied from betrayal to self-sacrifice. Feel free to use any of them that we already know and expand on their stories, or to come up with your own versions.
If you want to write about the humans, the time right after first contact and the first generation of the two species living together interests me the most. It would also be interesting to look at the different reactions of e.g. those who never woke up after they left Earth, Key Crew, and the Tribe. Or if you want you could write futurefic, during or after "Diaspora": what happens when the Voyager reaches Earth?

The Bright Sessions (Podcast)
Dr. Joan Bright, Mark Bryant, Samantha Barnes

(My review and episode notes)
I love pretty much all character interactions and relationships on this show, they're all very interesting for different reasons. I'm especially interested in all angles of the relationships between Joan, Mark, and Sam: Joan and Mark's complicated sibling relationship, where she feels guilty and would do anything for him and he doesn't know what to do with his anger, Mark and Sam's slowly developing relationship, Joan and Sam's slightly awkward friendship. I would love to see Mark and Sam go on time-travel dates (and Sam getting opportunities to share her powers in general, maybe by having Chloe paint what she sees in her head or telling Adam all he wants to know about her travels), more of Mark's recovery process and reconciliation with Joanie, or Joan and Sam becoming closer friends who find things they like doing together. I also like Chloe, Caleb, and Adam a lot. Imo it's also an excellent fandom for h/c fic, for example AM-related ( Wadsworth is an excellent villain and Joan's relationship with her has a lot of potential) or otherwise.
This is the one fandom where I don't mind setting AUs: you could put them in a fantasy world or on spaceships if you want, just don't take away their powers.

Elemental Logic series – Laurie J. Marks
Medric, Emil Paladin, Zanja na'Tarwein

(My spoiler-y series review.)
My two favorite relationships in this series are Medric/Emil and the whole family together (closely followed by Emil&Zanja and Zanja/Karis), and I would love a fic with some of both.
I would love fic about Medric pre- and/or during book 1: a seer who grew up in a society that usually kills anyone with Elemental blood, who showed himself useful early enough to survive and helped his commander kill many people, who is trying to understand and come to terms with his visions, which side he's on, and what his own future will hold. In canon he only has very vague visions of Emil and his future family, but feel free to expand on that a little and give him more if you want :) The exact scope of his abilities is never clearly described anyway. I also love his relationship with Emil: both scholars who'd prefer not to fight, enemies at first, clearly soulmates. The age difference is interesting too, Emil is almost twice Medric's age.
Or fic about Medric, Emil, and their whole family settling down for the first time. It would take some time for all of them to become comfortable living together, to grow from pairs and friends into a family who all love each other, and it couldn't have happened without at least some misunderstandings and arguments and fights, especially considering they have people from three different elemental logics. On top of that they had to learn how to raise a kid!, something most of them had little to no experience with.
I also like Garland the cook a lot, especially him taking care of the family and in particular Medric and Emil. Shortly after he met the group Emil killed Zanja, they could use a lot of care-taking. Also later with the family trying to settle into their new roles, Karis as the G'deon and poor Emil as General, Garland would try to make their new ugly house feel like home.
