Disadvantage of only bringing ebooks

Me, yesterday: This vacation is wonderful, I don't have many plans but it means I have so much time to read, it's so relaxing.
And then yesterday evening my ebook-reader broke -.- Whyy did it have to happen during my vacation. (And right during the final showdown of the book I was reading, too! Fortunately I could finish reading it on my laptop, otherwise it would have been even more frustrating.) I contacted the service center and I almost hope that they'll tell me it's clearly unfixable so I can go and buy the new one as soon as possible, ideally before the train ride home.
In the meantime I'll probably check out my grandparents' books, and try to resist the temptation to spend more time inside on my laptop when it's so nice out on the balcony or in the garden. (Can't use the laptop outside well because of the screen.)
ETA: Ebook-reader is irreversibly broken, so I need a new one. However, I found a different solution for the train ride: I remembered that apart from my grandparents, whose taste in books doesn't overlap much with mine (a lot of political biographies), my aunts also have a lot of books, so I borrowed a couple and now I should be all set for the next couple of days.

Date: 2018-07-26 10:16 pm (UTC)The disadvantage of e-books: once the reader is gone, you're kind of stuck.
On the other hand, yay for family who have similar tastes and books to read!
