I went to the weekly anti-government protest today and a woman there had a sign saying "Don't you think he looks tired?" Which I loved, and I hope that at the anti-government protests in the UK (there must be some, right?, with how astonishingly and dangerously incompetent their government is) there are a LOT of those.

Right? I'm still a bit mad about what the Doctor did to Harriet Jones (though actually it's been years, maybe I should rewatch the episode), but man some current politicians deserve that and worse.

Yeah, the doctor interfering like that was pretty lousy, I have to say. But given that it led to Harriet losing the next election and the Master getting into power -- well, I think the Doctor might have realised that he sometimes overstep his bounds. I liked Harriet Jones.

Uh, what, wait? You have weekly anti-government protests? You're living in Vienna, right? Until now I would have thought about myself as a rather informed individual, but the the (German) media I use doesn't cover it at all. (No Süddeutsche Zeitung, no Frankfurter Rundschau, no Deutschlandfunk; man, I live in a bubble.)

Ja, es gibt wieder Donnerstagsdemos, inzwischen in fast allen Landeshauptstädten. Bei weitem nicht so groß wie bei der ersten Schwarz/Blau-Regierung, aber doch ein paar tausend Leute jede Woche, und das im Winter.
Ist aber soweit ich mitkrieg bei uns auch nicht viel in den Medien. Auch, vermute ich, weil die derzeitige Opposition einfach nicht besonders gut bei PR ist.
