Huzzah for D&D and congrats on the group name! Rping has been a great balm during the Extra Chaos of the past months.
Sounds like quite the adventure you're having, yay for light sabers! But I agree, alignments are more an annoyance than a functioning part of D&D :/ But even without the alignments, if players have different ideas on how they want the game to go and what their characters' goals are, group cohesion can become an issue. One of my current groups is having some issues as three of the players are there to rp and one is there to "win D&D"... Luckily, the three rp-players are good at working around the win-guy, and my other group is 100% full of silly shenanigans mixed with serious moments. TLDR: group cohesion, it is a challenge.
