Welcome to the House of Hades
Dec. 13th, 2020 10:50 pmSoo, remember Thursday? And how I planned to wait to play Hades until January? ...yeah, so about that.
I blame D for telling me the game was on sale. Ahem. I did finish the first draft of my Yuletide fic first! A rough first draft, but still.
And then I played Hades for three hours :) First I had to figure out the controls and stuff, took me a while to figure out the attacks especially because at first I didn't find the settings menu - look, I'm very new at this.
I'm using the shield right now, mostly blocking + bull rushing, and I like it a lot. I got past Megaera once! Probably mostly luck, but still. (That, and the damage resistance from god mode.) And then I walked into Asphodel, had my fingers on the wrong keys, walked into the lava and died xD Definitely not telling Meg about that.
I saw the flashback sequence of Zagreus finding out that Nyx isn't his biological mother from the narrator (...there are so many implications and possibilities etc. with that narrator, just saying), I have three keepsakes (Nyx, Achilles, and Athena), I met Sisyphus, and I pet the dog a lot. Progress! Most importantly, I'm having a lot of fun.
