The best motivation for writing my Yuletide fic is procrastinating on something else: I have several hundred words already, and I'm even mostly happy with them. Unlike many past years, where I had ideas for long and ambitious stories and then really struggled with the execution and usually had to change my plans very late, this time I combined a few of my recipient's prompts into one story that will (hopefully) be not too long and not too difficult but still fun. I'm not doing NaNoWriMo (gods no - best of luck to everyone who does!) but I'm planning to write at least one sentence every day, that should be doable.
Edit: I wrote 1.8k today! o.o It's rough and I have more planned, but I could end it here and it would work as a buss pass fic if it had to. Feels nice.
