Some Festivids recs

It turns out going to sleep before midnight is good for me, actually. Who would have thought. I need to keep doing that, I always forget what a difference it makes.

I died about three steps before defeating the main boss of "Hollow Knight" today – soon! Practicing the fight for 20-30 minutes a day is working very well, I feel very little pressure and it still feels like playing while also getting better.

I haven't watched very much of festivids yet, but I found some vids I enjoyed a lot:

Summary: The triumphs and defeats, the epic highs and lows of British comedy.
Why I love it: Both really funny and genuinely touching.

All Star by hartknyx, Taskmaster UK
Summary: The tasks start coming and they don't stop coming.
Why I like it: Great compilation of great moments :)

Start a War by runawaynun, Babylon 5
Summary: If history is dead and gone, why are we still here?
Why I like it: Haunting, with a great mix of battle/fight scenes and more intimate moments.

Runs in the Family by sandalwoodbox, Babylon 5
Summary: Being a telepath in the Babylon 5 universe sucks.
Why I like it: This gave me so many Lyta feelings.

Ghosting by Rhea, Hikaru no Go
Summary: Before it all ends
Why I like it: I didn't know the show but now I definitely plan to watch it! This was great, both (just almost OTT) dramatic and silly.

Ooohh Hikaru no Go! <333 Unbedingt erst den Manga lesen, wenn du ihn bekommst, wirklich. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass Go spielen so spannend sein kann. Und die Charaktere! So viele Emotionen, so viel Humor! Du wirst dich in Sai (den Geist) völlig verknallen, der Knabe ist so entzückend! Und all das yaoi Potenzial! Es gibt (oder gab, ich bin nicht mehr auf dem Laufenden) eine florierende Doujinshi-Szene dazu. Als der Manga auf Deutsch rauskam, hat das eine regelrechte Go-Welle ausgelöst. (Auch bei mir, ahem... >_>)

Die Verfilmung ist nicht zu vergleichen, wie eigentlich alle Realverfilmungen von Manga oder Anime es nicht schaffen, die Emotionen des Originals wiederzuerwecken. Lass dich btw. nicht täuschen, die Geschichte des Manga spielt in der Gegenwart, mit eher seltenen Flashbacks.

Ich hab vor vielen Jahren ein paar Kapitel vom Manga gelesen (nach jedem Kapitel gab es eine einfache Go-Aufgabe, das hat mir auch gefallen), aber dann bald aufgegeben weil Dragonball etc. damals spannender waren ;)

Wenn ich erst den Manga lesen will werd ich wohl nie (oder zumindest nicht bald) dazukommen, ich werd gleich mit der Serie anfangen, auch weil DD auch interessiert ist und gemeinsam schauen ist immer schöner. Wenn sie mir gefällt kann ich dann noch immer den Manga lesen :)

All the Taskmaster vids in Festivids were great! But I might have laughed the most at try your best.

I have since started watching Hikaru no Go and enjoy it a lot :)

I haven't had time for the live action yet, like so many things, but it looks great!
