Sunflower Auction offer

I want to sign up for sunflower_auction, an charity auction for Ukraine, but am not sure what to offer. I've never done this before, and the stupid part of my brain keeps asking who would even be interested anyway. So, a poll. Please ticky if you think that someone might be interested if I offer this.

In previous auctions I've participated in, offers to beta for certain fandoms/number of words also went over well!

Sadly I'm not comfortable offering that. Maybe cheerleading, but I'm not sure about that either.

I think you would definitely get some bites for the fic option.

Also seconding the beta suggestion posted above if you think that's something you can do.

The rec list idea sounds good, but I'd suggest narrowing it down to something like "Any fandom from this list: A B C D E" because if it's just 'Any', that could lead to people asking for stuff you aren't familiar with.

Hm. I'm definitely willing to look for fic in fandoms I'm not familiar with, though then of course I can't comment on canon accuracy. A bigger problem might be someone asking for something too specific - it might be hard to find 7 great Merlin f/f arranged marriage space AUs. (Or maybe not! Just a random example.)

Honestly, those all sound promising.

Your offer of #2 sounds useful for kind of a weird reason: I often see pinch hits in exchanges with prompts or for people I have positive feelings about, but playing the game is a barrier for me and Let's Plays only go so far. Being able to consult with someone on what the gameplay was actually like, which monster was in which area, timing, etc - that would be so invaluable.

It also sounds like a thing people would be interested in for normal reasons!

That had not occurred to me! Yeah, if I'm playing/reviewing a game for someone else I'd of course ask if there's anything they want me to pay specific attention to.
