Oh yeah, I was barely aware of that myself XD I have only vague memories of the news where I am talking about the creator of the ending poem retaining rights to it and then releasing it for use by all at some point in the past, which clued me in to there being some form of ending, but I'm very hazy on the actual details. Most people I know tend to play it more as an infinite sandbox game than aim for the ending, so there being Minecraft speedruns is fun news to me :D
