Many things happened.

I watched Cleo, Etho, Grian, Scar, Martyn, and Jimmy.

Some notes:
Grian and Joel fall off a fucking ladder in the first three minutes and both die! Jimmy refuses to believe they're not just playing a prank on him, so he shoots Grian off the ladder a minute later, and Grian gets so mad that he hits him and Jimmy promptly dies. That's just… The Bad Boys were cursed this session. Bad luck, and Jimmy's canary curse, and Grian's killing-his-allies curse.

How is Jimmy the first person to be eliminated again. For the fourth time in a row! Grian wanted to let him use the TNT minecart so he could get time back and then he just accidentally fell off! And Joel afterwards said he was going to sacrifice himself for Jimmy so he would not be the first one out again but he didn't even get the chance.

I expected Jimmy to die even sooner actually, when Etho got the boogey kill on him he had less than two hours left but for some reason only one hour was deducted. So he had a few minutes left and was understandably panicked about it, and when Bdubs heard that he immediately told Jimmy to kill him. Good guy Bdubs. And that not too long after Jimmy suggested to Joel and Grian that they should betray the Clockers, but now he's changed his mind ;) Jimmy gets another half an hour from Scott as per their agreement, but in the end it's not enough. He dies with 54 minutes left on the clock.

In Grian's words, Joel is not handling Jimmy's death well at all ("sort of loses his mind") and Grian is convinced it's just a matter of time until Joel dies. They hold a funeral for Jimmy and then immediately go to ally with the Nosy Neighbors, who were Jimmy's worst enemies this series ^^ Well, Grian does, and then he goes to look for Joel again to sacrifice time to him to keep him alive, "Bad Boys for life." Joel is low on time because people keep going after him and he falls off things and he's starting to panic; at some point Grian shouts at Joel to kill him while Scar is attacking them and Joel barely manages. Grian asks Joel to kill him again, multiple times, shouts at him that he has the time, but Joel refuses because he says Grian has to survive and he ends up dying literally in front of Grian, his last words being "it's not going well-"

Grian is a Nosy Neighbor now - insert jokes about him always Watching ^^ (Talking about how alliances in the Life series never lasting – no Grian, that is a you thing. And didn't Scar say the same thing only recently? Desert duo feelings.) Him talking to BigB, possibly for the first time this session?, was sweet. (And at first he asked him to be a secret Bad Boy behind Pearl's back, those two have a thing for secret affairs huh.) Grian's kills this session were impressive, especially the quadruple TNT minecart kill. I also enjoyed his brief exchange with Scar where he agreed to give him the pufferfish back for fun if Scar stops chasing him with it. (Should've included Joel in that promise...) He sees a creeper coming up behind Scar, starts to warn him, stops - but this time Scar jumps out of the way in time. They both had opportunities to attack and probably kill each other this session that they didn't take. And the scene where Joel jumps off a bridge and Grian starts shouting "Scar no!" out of habit.

Scar was very bloodthirsty this session, but sadly he got unlucky: he lost a couple of close PVP encounters, and other times his kills were stolen from right under his nose (like when he went after Joel for killing mom), so he's very low on health now. Amazingly he was never killed by Etho, even though Etho promised him he'd kill him before the session. I loved Etho telling him that he's adopted, and Scar immediately saying he knows it's not true because they have something in common, failed traps ^^

Scar tried to kill Etho multiple times and Bdubs once literally got between them. The drama! Scar told Bdubs he trusts him completely except when it comes to Etho, which is fair. Not sure if it's better or worse drama-wise that when Scar and Etho fought, Scar gets killed by Bdubs' wolf because he accidentally hit Bdubs ^^

Scar repeatedly calling TIES nerds (Scar, of all people!, who can talk about Star Wars unprompted for a long time) and imitating their "comms" was fun. Also, Tango calling Scar "WarmGuy" in chat after Scar insulted his shooting and Etho going "you are bad word."

Even more bloodthirsty than Scar: Cleo, especially once they're partnered with Scott again and the kills start piling up. Skizz told her she's fierce and Cleo didn't really believe him; I think Cleo is very aware that people are more afraid of her than her PVP skills justify, but the reason why people are afraid of her isn't really because of her PVP skills it's because she's tenacious and holds a grudge and gets things done. Or, as she told Skizzle, she hurts them emotionally ^^

Etho has the least amount of time left, and that's even after he got a Boogeyman kill on Jimmy (and apologized for it multiple times) and after Skizz sacrificed himself for him – well, for TIES, but Etho needed it the most, and Skizz practically ordered them to kill him even though they would rather have helped him try to kill someone else. Etho told Skizz very nice things and then ended with "I just wish you were better at this game" – Skizz' last words were "I do too" xD

Second favorite Etho scene of the episode though was Bdubs saying, paraphrased, that Etho might be washed up at PVP, but Bdubs would still follow him into battle any day. Aww. Also Etho saying that he can't betray Bdubs, Bdubs would never trust another person again, heh.

Scott still has a lot of time left, comparatively, even though he was killed several times too, but he also got many kills. I don't really want him to win again but he is playing this very smart, and he's apparently the person Martyn decided to be loyal to this time, the two of them might actually be kind of busted, Martyn is such a competent right hand man. (Cleo's two exes from DL ^^ except Cleo never let Martyn be loyal to her the way he wanted.)

Speaking of Martyn: he was the godfather of the Clocker family, but early this session Bdubs said he seems like a father figure and asks Cleo if she would marry him?? Bdubs? "Etho is a great father" Bdubs, who keeps trying to bridge the extreme chasm and hold this family together despite how impossible it seems? Where did that come from. …a family can have multiple fathers, admittedly. But Cleo immediately said she's not going to marry Martyn, they were soulmates and it didn't work out so well.

The trap with hiding blue glass panes in the water the Bad Boys jump down into was very clever! And he set another trap at the very end at the Clockers' respawn bed, that shocked me, the odds that they don't see that in time are pretty high. Wonder what that will do to the alliance…

So many things happened! I've only watched Etho, Grian and Pearl yet, but I need to see more perspectives later.

The Bad Boys were properly cursed, following on from last week where Grian somehow managed to get them killed several times. There's a really different tension this season when it's not '3rd death and you're gone' but instead people get to watch their time tick down towards 0. There was a film with that same kind of tension, Looper I think? It's such a good mechanic. Especially when you look at how the others have tried to keep Jimmy and Skizz alive this whole series, and this last session with Joel as well. The contrast between his end and Skizz' is one of those 'couldn't have scripted it better' moments that we always seem to get.

Scott and Martyn could definitely be the final two, if Martyn stays smart instead of falling to his love of a good RP and the story like he tends to do (I love that about him). Pearl and BigB also have a good chance I think, if they keep their heads down and don't go 5 o'clock Pearl again. Cleo might have a chance as well, but she's too tied into the Clockers and Scar and Bdubs are having too much fun getting caught up in the moment I think XD Same goes for Impulse and the rest of TIE I'd say.

After listening to Imp and Skizz' podcast on collaboration I've also become very aware that all the players are making choices that they think will be entertaining to the viewers, and it's fun to look at their actions with that reasoning in the background.

And of course the Clockers (and related) family drama is still so funny and now also heartbreaking sometimes, I love that they've decided on a dynamic and they're sticking to it in the best way.
