schneefinksnickfic made a poll about what kind of content people are interested in seeing on DW and the results were encouraging for posting about fandoms most people in my circle are unfamiliar with. I went looking at my drafts and realized that I had notes for seven PoVs from four MCCs that I had simply forgotten to post (and then I added one more just because.)MCC 29: GoodTimesWithScar on the Pink Parrots with Antfrost, Tubbo, and bekyamon
Slushy duo, finally :) I really enjoyed the videos Tubbo and Scar did together a while ago, I hope they will do more eventually.

Scar as sandkeeper: did okay, talked a bit afterwards about how it's difficult to feel like he can't really do much except wait for sand (but he didn't get blue or red key either)

MCC Scuffed: Jojosolos on Pink Parrots, with Grian, Shubble, and LDShadowLady
Great team! On a pre-event stream Lizzie told Jojo that she asked to team with her, and Grian told Jojo that he too requested to team with her because Jojo captained Scar to his first win and Grian too needs some of that leadership, aww.
I didn't take any notes on this for some reason, but it was fun. I especially enjoyed Bingo, and that bingos didn't count if you didn't announce them ^^ Sands of Time was also great, with the fake countdowns that gave everyone heart attacks and then the surprise parkour + warden at the end. And the return of Skyblockle!, reminding everyone why they stopped playing Skyblockle. The random frog in the middle of DB was also fun.
It was a bit of a shame that Jojo and her team went into this event with the mindset that they wanted to win or at the very least do well, that meant that they were disappointed when they didn't even though/especially when they felt like it wasn't their fault. An event that literally has "scuffed" in its name is not a great time to be ambitious.
MCC 30: Illumina on the Aqua Axolotls with 5upp, ImpulseSV, and GoodTimesWithScar
First MCC since I found the event that I didn't watch live, I was at a birthday party. (I had a great time, we were eating barbecue in a tent in the garden despite the sudden strong rain and even hail.)
Definitely best dressed, one of my favorite team skins so far. I love the TV heads, and of course Scar's shirt is open ^^
Good vibes! I don't think I've watched 5upp before but he seems like a nice and positive guy. He's clearly well prepared with lots of strats to share, but he's not putting pressure on his teammates.
Illumina Ace Race lfg, almost ten seconds before anyone else. I watched it again afterwards and then I watched Pete, and it looks like the reason why Illumina won by so much was not only that he didn't try the skip that Pete missed twice and that cost him time and that he used iirc two skips or so that Pete didn't, but simply that he made fewer mistakes.
I watched Hbomb's SoT VOD review the next day and he watched Scar, that was interesting. Scar was a runner this time after last time he talked about how unsatisfying it felt to be sandkeeper and feel like all he could do was wait around. He had very bad luck early on, he started out in gold path which has a lava jump at the very start – an easy one but still – and then had to return multiple times for more rusty keys, died early once, and it took him a long time to find any sand. He's visibly extremely stressed in the beginning. Thankfully he calms down later, also thanks to 5upp being encouraging, and does better.
How freaking unlucky was that Meltdown, immediately getting wiped by Red three times, hell.
Scar in BB: The goal is to kill Scott *g* His initial enthusiasm and then immediately lowered confidence when he realizes there's no bow available, and they didn't get to kill Scott either, sadly.
I'm glad they're not too down about not doing well. They're right, they would have done well in RSR and BM, these games didn't favor them. Finally a team that says they enjoy Build Mart and would've liked to play it!
I like the hunger in HitW in theory, I think they could scale it down a little but it sped up the game which I liked.
Very dramatic DB. Impulse rooting for Yellow because Scott and Martyn turned on him in Limited Life ^^
Illumina: "Chat, we may have gotten last, but… I don't think there's a positive." But they had fun every game! (except Meltdown) and Illumina got top 10 at least, nice. Impulse and Scar seemed quite disappointed that they got last and second-to-last individually, but as 5upp said this was the sweatiest MCC so far.
Aww, Illumina got elytra after the event so he could go back to the decision dome and do the parkour under the elevator. And then he gave them to Phil, and Phil forgave him for killing him in Skybattle xD (After Phil killed most of Aqua first.) (Phil promptly used that elytra to try and get on top of the clouds, which he managed after what felt like half an hour.)
After-MCC part: unboxing a box of cards from the Speedrunner card game. "Guys, I'm not a goat." xD Streamer has a face. Also: "Since I'm already here, let's do a Rubik's Cube solve." Nerrd.
MCC 30: FireBreathMan on Purple Pandas with Scott Smajor, Martyn Inthelittlewood, and Solidarity Gaming
This team is basically "Scott and his husbands." Shane is the newest one so they're still in the honeymoon phase and holding hands all the time, Jimmy is one of his first husbands who's definitely not jealous nope, Martyn knew exactly what he was getting into when he joined the harem, and Scott is having a great time. They did at least one practice stream together and it already feels like they have half a dozen injokes together. (Also, Shane clearly is BFFs with aimsey and it's adorable.)
They are eliminated quickly in the first round of Meltdown so Shane watches Phil and starts singing Techno's "Phil, Phil, Phil, Phil" from MCM ^^ Well their MD wasn't as bad as Aqua's but not great either.
They found Mumbo in the decision dome and mention the Mumbo speedrun video, that was fun:

They were dunked four times xD Meanwhile Impulse is in the decision dome making sure HiTW is played, Scott and Jimmy fondly: "That's my Hermit."
During DB, Scott: "It's fine, if Yellow wins they can enjoy watching MCC next month." xD
Found later, Grian sending Jimmy a voice message before DB: "I am so proud of you. Go get 'em." AWWW. Jimmy got twentieth, he did so well, and he got the very dramatic final hit in DB in round five against Purpled, very nice.

And an addition from today, I briefly dropped in on a FBM stream today because of the new parkour game on MCCI and the first thing I saw was him and Scott flirting with each other, "u are so hot" "no u!!" Clearly their relationship is going well :)
MCC 31: Illumina on the Pink Parrots, with Sylvee, BadBoyHalo, and Skeppy
I watched this one live but didn't take notes, until weeks later so I didn't remember many details. Illumina was great as always but the team wasn't one of my favorites tbh. Skeppy apparently gets so shy during MCC that he barely talks, especially notable and annoying during SOT, especially when Sandkeeper Bad died. I have no idea how they did so well during SOT, from comms alone you'd think this was one of the most scuffed SOTs. And Bad spent a lot of time explaining the games to Skeppy. Not surprised they ultimately got ninth.
MCC 31: GoodTimesWithScar on the Yellow Yaks, with fruitberries, Scott Smajor, and CaptainSparklez

Scott mentioning how Tubbo tried to bribe people to drop out so he could sub in because he forgot to sign up again – such a silly goose, agreed Scar.
Jordan still protesting he didn't swear in TGTTOSAWAF ^^
Scar got last three times in TGTTOSAWAF, not his game.
Fruit keeps telling his teammates to choose the game that would bring them joy in life because he doesn't mind :)
Scar made it past the moving wheel section on PKW, he was so excited with every section he made it past after that and so happy when he finished the course :D
Scar wanted to ask if fruit wanted some orange juice but then wasn't sure if that wouldn't be him eating his own kind xD
Scar really wants to play Buildmart again – unfortunate that he's not in Pride.
They did well in Grid Runners, the fastest team to figure out the lamp room with the fishing rooms, I liked that one. (Scar: someone watched the Life series – where's Etho? ^^)
They did well in rounds two and three of Meltdown too – not my favorite game tbh but at least they had fun.
Not a great SG for them, fruitberries losing his win streak too after his whole team died quickly and they came last, bad luck.
SoT: Scar reminding the others to off-hand torches, Hbomb was so proud xD And Scar's disappointed headshake when Jordan gets the coins in the middle! He sent that clip to Hbomb afterwards during his SOT reviews and Hbomb was very disappointed in Jordan, Jordan defended himself saying he's a goblin xD And later fruit gets the green vault instead of leaving it for the Sandkeeper, ts ts, rude ^^
In the middle of SoT Scar starts talking to his chat about the Galactic Starcruiser, just Scar things. Overall he did well as sand daddy.
Fruit and Scott almost didn't make it out, that was close… Fruit making carpet pixel art "sry h" at the end ^^
Aww, Scar talking about how it was fun to play with Captain, that it's the first time he ever really talked to him, when Captain was one of his inspirations for starting on Youtube.
Scar talking about how much he practiced parkour and Ace Race and how happy he was about his improvement, saying he's really close to getting on the Ace Race leaderboard on the practice server, huh, that's pretty good!
MCCP: ZombieCleo on the
Cleo in MCC! :D So excited.
Before the event Cleo is answering questions wrongly: Gem is a platypus-related cryptid and Grian is not an alien, but a voidmonster, mhm. Gem also asked Cleo how to best support her because Cleo is bad at taking compliments, Cleo asked Gem to bully her, Gem said as a Canadian that's very hard for her. Grian folding his socks is straight guy energy, he's the straightest man but he's their token straight friend.
Of course Grian is late ^^ Not on the server, at least, but with going live and in VC.
Love the Pride cosmetics from last year! Gem's giant bi flag colored wings especially, and Pete's unicorn head.

Tbh I thought Grian's reputation in BM was exaggerated but they did so well in BM and got first! And in Bingo too! They were done so early in Bingo that Gem built a tiny house xD Grian just casually murdered Jellie (Scar in his chat: "OMG"), but he's here to win, not be nice to Jellie. ^^ Cleo: "we can win and be nice to Jellie."
I really enjoyed both of those, and not just because I was watching a team that did well. I hope Buildmart will be played more often again.

Grian is a very good hunter in Parkour Tag! Unsurprisingly so is Pete. They let Cleo hunt in the last round instead of Pete so she could try it out, unsurprisingly not great from a result perspective but otoh it's a non-canon event anyway and either way who cares.
Cleo kept talking about killing people, and sometimes eating them after xD Zombie indeed.
Grian, at one point: "Gremlin/goblin at your service." Cleo: "I appreciate a gremlin."
Pete got first in Ace Race, go Pete! That was so clean, especially the last three laps, whoa. The three fastest laps, "call that a Three-Pete." 4/4 on that one tricky skip too. Pete vs Illumina the rematch, as Pete's chat said before the race, and Pete won by over ten seconds.
At one point Cleo said she got lapped, Pete: "uh… I can explain… Are you happy it's your teammate, at least?" ^^ Cleo struggled, but at least she finished (and not even last), not bad for her first time on that map.
Then SoT remix: really interesting remix! Cleo did fine as sand daddy, unfortunately Grian screwed up. Finding the wrong paths was unfortunate, but not returning when the whole team told him to because he got distracted by shiny was a bad call, and then unsurprisingly he got locked out. (As did the entire green team, woo boy. Hbomb tried out being sandkeeper, with two new players on the team one of whom apparently had no idea how the game works, and got distracted and even left some of the special sand lying around because apparently it didn't register… unfortunate.)
Why does every team I watch do badly in Meltdown >.< Not fun to watch. And the coin differences are huge, especially with a late multiplier. And they didn't do very well in Battle Box either, expectedly. Game order really didn't favor them, if the first and last two games were switched they would have come 3rd otherwise instead of 7th according to a reddit post.
Grian asking if they think Etho would ever play in MCC xD Cleo said probably not, Pete asked maybe in a non-canon event, Cleo said maybe. Except then they remember that Etho can't be in MCC since he won't change his skin ^^
Pete got 2nd overall, Grian and Gem 19th and 20th, and Cleo got 30th! At first she thought she got last and her teammates started with the pep talks and then they were even more excited when it turned out she wasn't even in the bottom 10.
Veery close DB, came down to Scott vs Dave in game 5 and Purple won.
And then 20 vs 20 DB :) Pete was the last on Blue Team but failed to hit with two arrows even though Grian told him he's the most gorgeous unicorn he's ever seen, aww.
Cleo said afterwards that they had a great time and might be back in some future MCCs, yay! Great team for her first time, good job Scott.
After the event Pete did the whole donation parkour tower, completely clean too, Pete can do movement real good.
MCCP: Illumina on the Cyan Coyotes, with vGumiho, Ryan Higa, and xChocoBars/xRizzBars
Good vibes, #notlast team. Always good to watch a team that enjoys Buildmart. And Bingo too, even though they struggled.

Watching Illumina's Ace Race PoV after Pete's was very interesting because he used different skips that Pete didn't (though he didn't always take them cleanly.) And after learning that Pete got that one skip 4/4 and typed and then erased "grrr" in chat ^^ and then spent the rest of the time practicing it. "Why did Pete have to do this to me… why did Pete have to be a god… who made Pete this good, who's responsible for this? I didn't even do that bad…" xD
He said he only remembers playing Meltdown twice and both times he did terrible… They got fifth this time, not too bad!, the first round they did very good even.
They did so well in Battlebox! Getting completely rolled by Aqua wool-rushing after Aqua baited them with threats was hilarious though. (Illumina in chat: TAPL I love u) Also Illumina getting an ace against Lime ("I killed them all, they're all mine") and then when sylvee told him to chill in chat: I am not chill. I want to kill "I woke up with hatred in my eyes I guess, I don't know." 3rd in Battlebox, and that meant they got 6th overall, nice! Immediately telling off Antfrost who predicted them 9th ^^
First time watching I missed Scott trying to bribe Purple to lose DB because the shipping costs would be higher xD I also missed Scott falling off the platform.
"Minecraft is so fricking cool. […] I can't believe this is Minecraft." Aww, I love it when newcomers have a great time :D
DB against Green team on the practice server afterwards was fun :)
Then back on the MCC server, Phil asks Illumina to complete the tower parkour to get him elytra, and then Phil mutes Gumi because she's obsessed with Kristin ^^ Admins undercutting TapLs elytra smuggling operation by giving elytra to everyone, that works.
Illumina did the parkour tower too, nice.
Oh I would love to watch Illumina play HK or Ori :)
All very fun events. The next one is in a week and a half :) I haven't decided which team I want to watch live yet, it's between Red, Yellow, and Lime.

I have watched a few PoVs of their teams and they were fun; Grian and Wilbur is complete chaos, for example, and I still want to watch the VOD of Grian Dreamslayer. Bdubs played once, in MCC 27 Underdogs, that was a great team :)
