For my August rec post I continue to clean out my very old to-rec bookmarks: 7 recs from Yuletide and Yuletide Madness 2015.

Why I love it: This is hilarious and the lyrics are so well done, so many clever lines and jokes and great rhythm, fantastic.

Summary: In the weeks after The Language of Power, Rowan and Willam keep in touch.
Why I love it: This was written for me and I already recced it back then but it is so good I have to mention it again. Absolutely note-perfect post-LoP letters between Rowan and Willam, one of my favorite Steerswoman fics. (The other one was also written for me, Tubbs, In Repose by nenya_kanadka, a Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector crossover you should definitely check out as well.)

Why I like it: Five very cool what-ifs.

And We Could All Use A Little Change. by lannamichaels (The Martian)

Summary: Mark Watney is a beta. Well, he was when he left Earth.
Why I like it: Omegaverse but add spontaneous sex changes! And now put that in Mark Watney commentary, resulting in a lot of fun.

Lifehack by neveralarch (The Martian)

Summary: Mark enjoys finding interesting solutions to everyday problems. Even if he doesn't really need to.
Why I like it: Very nice Watney & Lewis post-canon snippet. Mark is adjusting. Kind of.

with all the gifts by misura (Jupiter Ascending)

Summary: “Your Majesty,” Stinger says, sinking down on one knee, “I have a daughter.”
Why I like it: Bees are good at organizing! This made me smile widely.

And to finish, a rare self-rec: Dark Blue Skies (Steerswoman)

Summary: In the third year of Willam's apprenticeship with Corvus, Abremio came to Wulfshaven.
Why I still like it a lot: This one actually turned out quite well, I'm still happy with the worldbuilding about the wizards and with the Willam and Corvus and Abremio I wrote.
