Things I like:
* I enjoy hurt/comfort, especially emotional h/c. Angst with a good pay-off and comfort at the end is great.
* I'm a big fan of loyalty/fealty, betrayal, (self-)sacrifice, atonement, and related tropes.
* Friendship/found family fic is wonderful. Characters who grow to like each other, trust each other, and eventually would do many things for each other, yes please, especially when there are reasons why they might be on opposite sides and/or they started on different sides/in different places/have different allegiances and interests/have a difficult history/there are obstacles etc.
* Canon-divergent AUs and time travel stories are always great.
* Some other things I love: competent characters, plot, adventure, complicated family relationships, hugs…
I'm fine with all POVs (i.e., first, second, third), tenses, ratings, story lengths, unusual formats, etc.
Things I don't like for Yuletide:
* stories with a very dark or hopeless ending
* self-harm for mental health reasons
* explicit rape or abuse
* character bashing
* smut
* different world AUs, like coffeeshop AUs or Star Wars fusions. I love the canon worlds of all these fandoms so I'd prefer to read fic taking place there.

Dice Disasters

I want more stories about this world and these characters. I love how supportive they are of each other, how they help each other with their fears and insecurities and encourage each other, and how protective and loyal they are. Some of my favorite relationships are Jasmin&Max, and also Jasmin&Cody and Max&Zan. I like the whole party a lot and I would be delighted to see any of the others too.
Some prompts if you want them:
- it ends in the middle of a story arc – what happens next? How do they deal with each of their patrons, and ultimately the queen?
- Jasmin and Max' time in prison
- downtime and/or adventures during their time in the Dream Grove
- the rest of the party finding out about Zan's warlock patron
- Max summoned a steed, but surely he didn't expect Zolmorog, Defyer of Untold Horrors. "Pickles" called him "consort to the Prince of Darkness" – why, who is that, and what if they meet him?
- what happens if they do find the way "back home", or after their return? Or if they find out that there is no way back?
Tales of the Otori – Lian Hearn
Characters: Otori Shigeko, Otori Miki, Otori Maya
Additional: My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags
I reread "The Harsh Cry of the Heron" recently and I still really want fix-it fic for the second generation. Especially for Shigeko, Maya, and Miki: they cared for each other, and I want them to have a happier ending. It doesn't need to be a perfect happily ever after for everyone, but something more hopeful, with all of them alive, would be very nice. Canon-divergent AUs in general would be nice.
Some prompts if you want them:
- What if Shigeko was the one who inherited Tribe skills?
- What if Takeo and Kaede had a son earlier, how would the sisters deal with suddenly having a brother who was the new heir and center of everyone's attention?
- In a world where Maya didn't die (perhaps she didn't even kill her brother) but Shigeko still married Saga Hideki, how do the sisters find each other again and how do they support each other?
- What if they met Hisao under better circumstances?
I'm not a fan of Hiroshi/Shigeko and would prefer it not come up. The one character where I definitely don't want to see a redeemed version is Kikuta Akio.
The Final Architecture – Adrian Tchaikovsky
Characters: Olian Timo, Kris Almier
Additional: My gift must feature one or more of my chosen character tags (giver's choice)
I would love some post-canon fic for both or either of these characters.
Olli's relationship with the Unspeakable Aklu, the Razor and the Hook, was fascinating, and I am very curious how her inheritance works out for her. The United States of Olli! Suddenly the head of a criminal empire and sort of under the protection of the Essiel and having to deal with them a lot must be super hard.
Kris also took on a large task in the epilogue as a civil rights lawyer. I loved her relationship with Idris and losing him must have hit her hard. She was also the one to organize a reunion among those who remained.
Apart from these two, some of my favorite characters were Idris, Solace, and Havaer.
Some prompts if you want them:
- anything with Olli and Kris meeting again post-canon
- Kris helping Olli establish an embassy on Berlenhof
- Kris is struggling to make money. Olli is running a criminal empire and is probably able to help with finances.
- Kris is travelling and accidentally gets into trouble with some of Olli´s minions, Olli intervenes
