Episode 3
Pearl
The Mounders: Mumbo wants them to have a war chant. Joel wants them to go down on… no need to go further into that xD
Mumbo: you can drop three blocks without taking damage?? Bdubs calling him a scientist-wizard ^^ immediately proven when Mumbo did science and found out that you take damage at 3.5 blocks
Mumbo in chat: SCAR I have your camel. Please take it back. xD
First Decked Out mention \o/ Pearl practicing she's practicing for DO when Tango commented on her berry bushes
Etho rerolled for a hard task?!
I wasn't surprised by Jimmy dying (do a Drowned), but Gem! Uh-oh
Sucks that Pearl forgot to record her second half :( But she did okay with the footage she had.
Scott with a pumpkin head on a zombie horse… okay!
Martyn water-bucketing up to ask why Joel is building up, and then Joel misses the water!! Oh no! …somehow saving Grian xD who had to take the same amount of damage as Joel.

Watching this episode for the first time I was so busy laughing out loud that I didn't take any notes. Cleo is my favorite.
So I had to watch it again. Oh noes.
Exchanging presents with Etho ^^ They call each other Bestie, aww. They have such a compatible sense of humor.
That is a very cool task.
Of course Cleo planned to annoy him and make Skizz "pop" xD
Scott tells her he loves her and of course she says it back, of course it later turns out to be his task but yeah it wasn't any more remarkable than making me grin.
Cleo apologizing to Tango but explaining that they just couldn't take the cringe. And telling Skizz that they will break his legs if he tries to emotionally blackmail them. And later building the friendship bridge and saying they felt a bit bad looking at the footage from the first recording day ^^ but still protesting when Skizz said Cleo wandered over and basically started cat-calling Etho.
"Yes Tango, a thing I know about you, you don't know how Minecraft works."
So unfortunate that Lizzie caught her making her first documentary (except not really because otherwise we would not have gotten the second one.)
Have I mentioned that the casual best friends relationship with Etho is my favorite.
The entire Bdubs + Mumbo + Scar + Etho documentary (starting around minute 29) is pure gold. Calling them all "the" Bdubs etc., constantly throwing shade on Bdubs' redstoner qualification, the invented dialogue,… yes the natural Bdubs suffers from a hideous case of the yes-ands xD and they will get him killed, mostly when it's funny. The native Etho in his native habitat sneaking up on these foolish mortals xD Etho and Bdubs, being boyfriends as they wont to do. Bdubs showing strength of fortitude not running away with Etho, being loyal to the domesticated Mumbo. Cleo being indignant because how dare he, doesn't he know what a catch the wild Etho is (Cleo would know!) I love stream-of-consciousness Cleo.
Bdubs asking Cleo if he did a good job being filmed for the nature documentary xD and then telling her that Mumbo broke his heart, and Cleo telling him he should join up with her and Etho and just kill him! And then saying she and Etho don't have goals, they barely talk, they're like ships that pass in the night; and Bdubs going "oh no" all sad. "This is how you and dad split up the first time," and then Cleo reminding him they agreed she wasn't his mum anymore ^^
Bdubs realizing he is rude to his guest and offering some floor fish ^^
The discussion about Scott's task to get people to say "I love you" back and how it's easier for him, and then Grian saying it to Etho, and Etho "…thank you?" and "If you're expecting a return, it's not happening" xD Cleo: "You're not Bdubs, you can't get that back."
Then putting it to the test and telling Etho to tell Joel he loves him – "he's just going to think I'm cringe, though" Scott: "expressing your feelings isn't cringe, Etho" – and Joel telling him ok and he knows Etho is obsessed with him but c'mon, calm down xD
Mumbo Kills-a-lot Jumbo saying he has never slayed a thing ^^
Skizz:
"I have been thinking" and Tango wondering if Skizz had permission ^^

I love Torchy, difficult task but such a great idea.
Tango doesn't want to talk to Etho, he's too smart ^^ Torchy is scared of Etho because he has a water bucket!

Tango telling Torchy that they already love Etho; this episode had multiple moments of Tango being a huge Etho fan and it's cute every time.
Unsurprising but still unfortunate that he failed his task.

Cleo offering that Impulse could stay with her and Etho, because Scott and Gem tried to steal her last week xD
Gem
Having to open the end portal is a hard task indeed! I was confused at first why she and Scott went to a bastion before I saw that it was clearly modded to have a blaze spawner. I was surprised Gem and Scott, especially Scott, took so much damage! Though admittedly the surroundings of the spawner weren't ideal.
I was also surprised Gem didn't take more blaze rods, I suspect she already know the portal would be mostly filled.
Etho
"I'm here with Cleo! Cleo is looking at the sky. Because Cleo likes the sky. So blue, so pretty. …she might have got hit by a car and now her neck is broken, it could be that too." xD
"the weird and quirky era of Etho" – hitting Bdubs with a water bucket because it's important to stay clean. Etho is having so much fun with this. After all, decoy tasks are important.
Bdubs saying Tango and Skizz are desperate for friendship and Etho saying he'd go join them but he's been with them every single one of these, it's too much. They're great people, but…
Etho foiling Bdubs' attempts at fulfilling his task by questioning his use of all the weird modern words ^^
Yeah Impulse was definitely hoping to fulfil his task with Etho here but no luck.
Re-rolling for hard! Etho is right that any task that requires other people to react is difficult.
Yeah his offer of "help" to Pearl was super suspicious from the start, no wonder he didn't succeed.
Throwing water at people is a Canadian greeting, m-hm. Him building cobblestone walls between people to stop conversations about him is great xD
Truly unfortunate that Martyn guessed Tango's task on his own before Etho could find him, but then Etho didn't seem to try that hard. (And that Etho didn't simply message him)
Etho asking Mumbo to reroll for heard: "Please, Mumbo, for me," and promising his assistance, "I would devote myself to you." Bdubs saying it sounds like a dream team ^^ Cut to a meeting with Scar, Mumbo, and Grian in the courthouse about if Mumbo can reroll, ending with Grian stating "then you cannot reroll" and in that very second the sound of the portal opening – perfect timing.
Etho admitting that he failed his task and the others chanting first "fail" and then "washed up" so he throws water on himself xD perfect ending.
Grian
He lives in a giant wooden egg now! (Bird-coded.) He's incapable of burning down the weird stairs he made! He still doesn't have any friends! (I don't remember in whose episode it was shown that Scar offered Grian a place to build in Scar City and Grian seemed to take him up on it but it wasn't either of theirs.)
Mumbo
Prevent Scar from taking (more than a tiny bit of) damage, truly an impossible task xD The timing of Mumbo finding Scar only to hear him say that he just lost a bunch of hearts is absolutely perfect. The constant accusations of him trying to kill the camel were also hilarious, because it was true, but only indirectly related to his task. And he tried to make it look like an accident but failed every time.
Mumbo saying Grian's eyes look soulless is absolutely hilarious considering it was Mumbo who juiced Grian for his soul in the first place.
Scar asking if he can do anything to help Mumbo succeed his task and Mumbo telling him to be better at the game and get good xDD
BigB
That was a hard task and he got very unlucky, especially with Mumbo, who almost used the right words, he even did but then walked it back.
The threatening music when BigB came across Scar and Cleo transporting cows and said that he was sent to kill two cows and Scar said no they are buffalo etc. And then when he goes to visit Grian in his wooden egg and asks him if he laid it (Grian confirmed) and then deliberately fucked with him yet again for fun
Bdubs
Mumbo is the Minecraft scientist-wizard, denies it and immediately proves it by doing an experiment ^^
Etho calling Pearl the builder, Mumbo the visionary, Joel the muscle
(…I think I stopped this one halfway through because I got interrupted and then forgot? Or I just stopped making notes, I can't remember.)
Scar
From Mumbo's PoV it looked like he tried hard to find Scar, from Scar's PoV that's barely apparent ^^ He did a good job with his task of removing torches, even though Mumbo trying to follow him made it hard. And Mumbo told him to get better at the game and get good, but actually Scar ended on green with twenty-five hearts and quite a few resources so that's pretty good!
Episode 4
Cleo
Oh no immediately an accidental slash at Etho ^^ They feel so bad about it too, and immediately give their heart to Etho and try to get Bdubs to do the same.
That is indeed a very easy task.
Etho made the base very pretty! The camping spot too. "Etho, I'm being genuine, leave me alone."
Cleo trying to sic Joel on Grian, that making Grian succeed, and Grian then saying all of them are terrible friends xD Except Scar who just started singing along.
Yes agreed Jimmy should stay in BigB's jail cell once on red ^^
Bdubs is basically a resident! A bedroom for Bdubs in Etho and Cleo's base xD
And Bdubs putting his hat in the ring for a heart from Etho as well, without success
Bdubs isn't bad at Minecraft he's just silly, Cleo is so right
I'm so curious what happened between Grian and Scar!
Cleo in editing calling Grian out for still trying to convince them if he can be their friend after they already agreed twice is so funny
Of course Cleo and Grian bond over arson :D And Etho's condition was for Grian not to burn their base down
Martyn and Jimmy the first two on Red!!! Oh no! Both the worst options but for very different reasons.

Oh man Skizz is right the must-be-bleeped slogan of the Heart Foundation is so intriguing ^^ I do like the heart base.

Riding a loop around the server behind Mumbo was very funny ^^ I hope it really didn't have anything (or barely anything) to do with his task.
I can't believe Pearl survived the dragon fight on green!

Wow that's a very tricky task! No wonder she failed soon.

Great task, made even more difficult/easy? By the fact that Mumbo is on his horse pretty much the whole time. They end up e.g. circling Martyn on their hoses, which is funny

While Mumbo ran away because the singing is too much for him xD Bdubs sang back too!
Grian did so well with baiting Joel, great strategy
"Thank you guys, I appreciate it, you are all terrible friends and that's what I needed." And then complaining to Scar that the others betrayed him ^^

The boat is Etho's horse while everyone else is off being a horsegirl, and then he's in the boat with Joel reliving the good old days, "back when you still cared about me […} you still care? We hardly see each other anymore… (….) well this is where the relationship ends"
Etho saying he's afraid of Grian pulling chaotic shenanigans like making fake promises ^^
Lizzie
I have not watched a lot of hers before this but I really enjoy her videos. Short but with a good pace and entertaining.
Bdubs
That worked out perfectly! True protagonist arc, from determination to near-despair to the sudden hope when Gem announced that she was organizing an army to kill the dragon, and then he even gets the last hit in when it looks like it might be taken away (stolen) at the last second. He did so well!
Scar
That was so much fun. I was a bit worried that it would be a tragic episode from what I'd seen of Scar in others' videos, but somehow it was both that but also not a downer. Probably helped by the fact that he is still on green with over twenty hearts and quite a few resources. Despite that diamond helmet, so unfortunate.
I loved how it started with him all optimistic because that's what he does anyway and then the realization when he went to Lizzie and she asked him not to kill all of the cows…
The editing when Skizz asked him for a heart was fantastic, grey and shaky and the heartbeat. And then running away from all those telling him to take his helmet off, and having to leave BigB etc. – he didn't even show the part from his teaser with the camel and the zombies in the main part of the episode. He also didn't show several scenes of his interaction with Grian, including Grian telling him to keep his helmet off etc.
Mumbo
He too says the task is basically what he does in RL already ^^ I'm happy that his task really didn't have anything to do with the horse, apart from the fact that the horse allowed him to make a quick getaway from one-on-one conversations. And I like the sideways trees.
Excited for next week! This Friday I will probably have time to watch, which is nice.
Not on Saturday for the livestream with the guests on Hermitcraft for Decked Out 2 sadly, but for a good reason: Vienna Comic-Con is this weekend. I am working on an imagineer!Scar cosplay, it is coming along well and I am very excited.

Great task, made even more difficult/easy? By the fact that Mumbo is on his horse pretty much the whole time. They end up e.g. circling Martyn on their hoses, which is funny

The boat is Etho's horse while everyone else is off being a horsegirl, and then he's in the boat with Joel reliving the good old days, "back when you still cared about me […} you still care? We hardly see each other anymore… (….) well this is where the relationship ends"
Etho saying he's afraid of Grian pulling chaotic shenanigans like making fake promises ^^

I have not watched a lot of hers before this but I really enjoy her videos. Short but with a good pace and entertaining.
Bdubs
That worked out perfectly! True protagonist arc, from determination to near-despair to the sudden hope when Gem announced that she was organizing an army to kill the dragon, and then he even gets the last hit in when it looks like it might be taken away (stolen) at the last second. He did so well!
Scar
That was so much fun. I was a bit worried that it would be a tragic episode from what I'd seen of Scar in others' videos, but somehow it was both that but also not a downer. Probably helped by the fact that he is still on green with over twenty hearts and quite a few resources. Despite that diamond helmet, so unfortunate.
I loved how it started with him all optimistic because that's what he does anyway and then the realization when he went to Lizzie and she asked him not to kill all of the cows…
The editing when Skizz asked him for a heart was fantastic, grey and shaky and the heartbeat. And then running away from all those telling him to take his helmet off, and having to leave BigB etc. – he didn't even show the part from his teaser with the camel and the zombies in the main part of the episode. He also didn't show several scenes of his interaction with Grian, including Grian telling him to keep his helmet off etc.
Mumbo
He too says the task is basically what he does in RL already ^^ I'm happy that his task really didn't have anything to do with the horse, apart from the fact that the horse allowed him to make a quick getaway from one-on-one conversations. And I like the sideways trees.
Excited for next week! This Friday I will probably have time to watch, which is nice.
Not on Saturday for the livestream with the guests on Hermitcraft for Decked Out 2 sadly, but for a good reason: Vienna Comic-Con is this weekend. I am working on an imagineer!Scar cosplay, it is coming along well and I am very excited.
