schneefink: green cassette tape saying "statement begins... ...statement ends", from TMA (TMA statement cassette darker)
[personal profile] schneefink
There are still many TMA fics on my "to rec" list from many months ago, so I decided to finally rec some of those. It's been a while since I read TMA fic (I still have hope that one day [archiveofourown.org profile] PitViperOfDoom will update some of my favorite WIPs ...)

handcuffs by [archiveofourown.org profile] Prim_the_Amazing
10.6k, gen, s4 Jon & Daisy
Summary: It turns out that Daisy still has a sturdy set of metal handcuffs from her days on the force. Jon knows that they weren’t with her on her trip through the Buried, because they’d both had to just give up and throw the clothes that they’d been wearing when they went into the Coffin away as unsalvageable lost causes. The cuffs would still have dirt caught in their teeth.
Why I like it: Fantastic fic about Jon's ~transformation, it does a great job with his fear and constant struggles, and Daisy understands (to a point) and wants to help.

Dinner and a Show by [archiveofourown.org profile] KingOuija
3.3k, gen, s4 (ep 142 tag]
Summary: Jon treats himself to a nice dinner out.
Why I like it: This time I read this right after "handcuffs" and that fit perfectly as a ~prequel of sorts, the exact thing Jon is afraid of, very well portrayed.

Ocean of Noise by [archiveofourown.org profile] Alias
9.2k, gen (Jon & Martin), s4 canon-divergence, transcripts
Summary: After the dust has settled, Martin brings Jon to the Lonely and leaves him there.
He visits, when he can.
Why I like it: Great follow-up to the first two, coincidentally. Jon can't control himself, apparently Daisy wasn't enough help, so Martin decides to go with the drastic option and Jon suffers the consequences. Chilling because of how plausible it seems, if things had gone slightly differently.

Casefile#0161702 Miami by [archiveofourown.org profile] MilkyMint
2.6k, gen, Cabin Pressure crossover
Summary: Statement of Captain Martin Crieff regarding his encounter with one Simon Fairchild on a transatlantic flight.
Why I like it: And something lighthearted to close it off, this one made me smile a lot.
