I have a huge history interest so it's mostly that! I'm especially fond of chronologically progressing deep-dives, though not all of these are like that.
The British History podcast (https://www.thebritishhistorypodcast.com) History of the English Language History of Byzantium Our Fake History (on historical myths and what the truth is) BBC History Extra Magazine podcast (although their main site has gone subscription-only, you can still find the podcast for free on other sites) The Siecle (French history 1815-1914) History of India podcast (seems to be retired now but had many good episodes) Pontifacts (papal history with rating of popes) Battle Royale (French history with rating of monarchs) History of Rome by Mike Duncan(the mother of so many history podcasts; finished years ago) Revolutions history podcast by Mike Duncan (has also finished) You're Dead To Me! (BBC lighthearted history)
But also: History of Philosophy (Peter Adamson) Screentest of Time (movie history, now coming out extremely slowly, but with a lot of episodes done to date) The Infinite Monkey Cage (BBC lighthearted science) Cutious Cases (also BBC lighthearted science, though i like the older seasons the best, when it was Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry) The Prancing Pony podcast (all about Tolkien's works)
