Summary: So instead he says, still a little bit weakly, “Do you remember what Gem said about— weather anomalies?” and Mumbo blinks at him blankly and he goes on, “In her lab, you know, about the hole,” and all of the color drains from Mumbo’s face.
He says, “Grian, mate.”
Grian says, “Mumbo.”
Mumbo says, “Grian, are we breaking the entire Hermitcraft server?”
“Well, I don’t think we are,” Grian says, because if the server’s breaking down, it's not the two of them technically responsible, or at least not directly— if the server's breaking down, it’s Boatem Hole 2: Less Boatem, More Hole that’s doing it.
Why I love it: Fantastic character voices, great banter, excellent premise, and just overall very very funny.
Canon knowledge required: Probably yes

Lessons Learned (Lessons Relearned) by

Summary: Percy closes his eyes after another late night and opens them a decade in the past, back at the start of his fifth year, back before Percy had made any of the decisions he'd regretted later on, back before his family had shattered and learned to live with the remaining pieces, back to the beginning of an ending that might not be so inevitable after all.
Why I like it: Time traveler Percy during Ron’s first year at Hogwarts. I really enjoyed this take on Percy and his relationships with his brothers and Oliver.
Canon knowledge required: Probably yes

Summary: On the eve of his execution, Liang Jianwen divorces his husband.
Why I like it: Poor resigned to his fate Prince Zhe, I enjoyed the political drama and the character study.

A Courtship of Convenience by

10.6k, Cristina Vespucci/Desmond Miles, fake ~relationship
Summary: Cristina wants little more than to be rid of the man she is engaged to, without offending the Soderini family and hurting her own family's reputation.
Good thing she's recently met one Desmond Miles, willing to pretend to be a suitable suitor for her.
Why I like it: I enjoy fake dating stories and this one was very sweet, I enjoyed it even though I only know canon from osmosis.
