January recs: Hermitcraft fusions

The new year has started and I almost forgot about monthly recs already.
To start with, three Hermitcraft fanworks, 1 animation and two fics: fusions with Slay the Spire, Uma Musume, and Pokémon (knowledge of other fandoms not required.)

Why I love it: This is so cool! I know nothing about Slay the Spire but all the Hermitcraft parts are so fitting and look so cool and the atmosphere is so great.

Summary: Gemini Tay is a promising young horsegirl with a bright future ahead of her. But in order to realize her full potential as a runner, she’ll have to chase the legacy of her hero, Etho’s Lab, to a training academy overseas.
Why I love it: I know almost nothing about Uma Musume but this is a lovely fic about a young Gem uncertain about her future and making friends and being nervous about meeting her hero.

She Was Shining by ThistleOnions
2.7k, pre-Ren/False, Pokémon AU
Summary: False and Ren meet while preparing for their second gym badges. It's the beginning of everything.
Why I like it: Aww, they're so sweet, this is lovely.

Hahaha I know Slay the Spire but not Hermitcraft, this is great! :D

I'm glad it works well from the other side too :D
All the characters and the enemies and the locations and the cards and items etc. are Hermitcraft references (specifically Decked Out 2, a "mini-"game in season 9) so I assume the layout/set-up and art style come from StS.
