schneefink: Dracula's castle (Castlevania castle)

I did it, I got to the credits and unlocked the Queen :D

Wednesday 11.2.:
I got Metaglio Left once and Metaglio Right once – but getting both at once will be difficult if only for time reasons, since they're so far apart. I'll have to focus only on them and get Wings asap, probably.
I also survived the Boss Rash for fifteen minutes and got the Atlas Gate, unlocking Adventure Mode. Three adventures, very cool! I want to focus on base game progress first though and try to finish the collection 1.0, but after that.
Then I tried a few more times to get the Crimson Shroud in the Mad Forest (I need to kill enough bats eventually too), but failed because I didn't get offered the Laurel, ugh. Then I realized I hadn't bought all skips and reroll power-ups yet… Now I've maxed everything except Curse.
I did some chores and allowed myself one more run in the Mad Forest with Christine – okay it turned into three because I died very early the first two times – and this time I got the Crimson Shroud! And thanks to that, and several Revives, I even made it to minute 31! \o/ I also got a new character out of it, nice, will have to try them next time. And a new Arcana card that looks intriguing.
I also found my first golden eggs today, Cavallo found one and Christine two. I didn't know where they came from at first, later I looked it up and realized I got those from killing the Atlantean guardians of the Metaglios, I didn't notice that in all the chaos.
Next: Probably Infinite Corridor, then Sketamari, then the remaining Arcana…
Collection: 128/150 – maybe it's 150 instead of 147 now because of the Adventures? Not sure if I need them to complete the collection 1.0 though.

Thursday:
Just one run to show L the game, with Porta in the Laborratory. I managed to make it look very impressive, with Thunder Loop and Seraphic Cry etc. (and of course Attractorb because it just looks so cool.)
Also in that run not only did I kill enough enemies with the train to unlock a new bonus stage Carlo Cart, I also finally found the last clover I needed and unlocked the Westwoods. Both look very intriguing - not what I need for the collection 1.0 I think, but still, the temptation…
And I happened to pick up the silver ring.
Collection: 129/150.

Friday:
I got home late and thought about not playing, but I got the beautiful Queen Sigma pin I ordered (the day before it went on sale - but it's sold out now in the EU store so I'm glad I was early instead of late) so it felt fitting. I tried out playing Divano, in the Bone Zone; the second main goal was to get one of the Gemini arcana evolutions I thought I was still missing (and later realized upon double-checking that I'm not.) I didn't manage that, or to get the Crimson Shroud again, but I did survive for thirty minutes, which unlocked the Bracelet. Looking forward to trying that out!

Saturday:
Could not resist trying out the Westwood; I tried to get Poe to level 50 at the same time but only got to 49, boo, should have focused harder on xp gain but I forgot the stage is only 20 minutes. But I unlocked the jester character Chulah-Reh, and the Magi-Stones as a weapon. I didn't manage to make my way toward the necklace item, and it didn't come to me with the Mad Groove arcana either.
(I looked up the necklace afterwards: I would have needed to win the spin the wheel game to make my way to the left part of the map. But I also looked up what it does and I don't want it very badly rn anyway.)
I went to the Inlaid Library with Poe and finally got the Infinite Corridor! And Poe to level 50. (But I fell far short of getting to minute 31.)
Collection: 132/152, iirc.

Monday:
Armed with this guide, I defeated the Sketamari: with Sir Ambrojoe, La Robba, La Borra, Embrace of Gaea, Seraphic Cry, Thunder Loop, Soul Eater, Spinach, and Boogaloo of Illusions, it was very quick.
That got me the Scrolls of Morbane! I immediately cast my first spell and got Exdash Exiviiq the luck ghost. The scrolls also contain directions to several other secrets, intriguing. (The only one I had already found was looking under a coffin again to find Random.)
It also unlocked the Eudaimonia Machine! Nice. Just going up there and seeing a galactic being was very cool. It asks if the journey so far was too hard or too easy – I picked too hard and got the Seventh Trumped for Endless mode. Then I went back and got Gracia's Mirror for Inverted Mode. Very cool.
I checked my new unlocks and saw one that said "dare to cast the spell forbiddenbox" so of course I did that immediately. I fought my way down through I don't remember how many rooms with Porta, and I found the Darkasso! And got the first Dark Arcana! Very cool :D
I decided to try if Endless Mode counts for reaching minute 31, so I went to the Inlaid Library and found out that it does, which will make unlocking the last few arcana so much easier. It'll just be two more endless runs on the right stages. The extra chests from Moonlight Bolero are very convenient, and I ended up with two and a half rows of passive weapons.
So I did two more Endless runs, in Gallo Tower and in the Dairy Plant, and thankfully in the latter the Bracelet finally showed up and I could evolve it into the Tri-Bracelet. Which meant I unlocked the Candybox – but it doesn't count for the Collection until I encounter it in a run, unfortunately.
I did one more run afterwards in the hopes of encountering it, but no luck. I did finally remember to banish ten weapons, at least, unlocking Seal. Then I looked up Candybox in the hopes of finding a way to increase the odds, and I did find something, so I went on a run with Santa Ladonna, got Seraphic Cry, and I did trigger a Weird Souls Purifier which unlocked an arcana which makes it easier to find a Candybox when active, but even better than that I found a Candybox on that run :)
So now the only thing I'm missing in the collection 1.0 is to see the final fireworks! For which I have to defeat the Directer in Eudaimonia Machine. But that's a task for tomorrow, it's past midnight, uh-oh. (If it was just the victory I'm pretty sure I'd stay up late, but I also need to find it afterwards in another run and I might have bad luck with that, better not to chance it.)
Collection: 147/158

Tuesday:
It's time to face the Directer.
I beat him with Porta on my first try \o/ Final Jubilee! Credits! Fantastic.
The description said it's better with Luck so afterwards I went to the Mad Forest with Exdash but had no luck getting it there. Then I went to the Inverse Inlaid Library with Zi'Appunta Belpaese and not only made it to level 80, I also found a candybox and the Jubilee in there, completing the collection 1.0
Queen Sigma!! :D She is so cool. "She owns everything."
I immediately tried her out, and where else but on the very intriguing new stage, the Astral Stair? I got the Map there and the Trisection relic for random events (very curious about those…) and the Chaos Rosalia relic for a new character and five gold fingers to unlock the Space 54 stage, and more importantly the Victory Sword evolved into Sole Solution (as a gift, says the description, nice) and I was a walking galaxy, so cool.
Collection: 154/161, unlocked: 172/200.
And 70% of Steam achievements. Though I think some of all of these might require DLCs? I'm planning to get at least the Castlevania one anyway, probably more. But first there's still plenty to do in the base game. Two entire stages I haven't even played on yet, for example. And the adventures! And the secrets! Etc. etc.

I definitely want to continue playing and discover more, at least for a bit (until DD finally has time to play Hades 2, most likely, because we decided to start an 1.0 playthrough at roughly the same time.) But I'm glad I got to this point now because that'll make it much easier to take a break.
