After watching the Hobbit yesterday LB and I wondered how long the movie version of the Silmarillion would be.
Me: "How about Silmarillion: The Animated Series?"
LB: "...No. Stop that."
Me: "Can you imagine the title sequence and music?"
LB: "Bach Allemande played with a mouth organ. I hate you."
I love him too.

The last episode of Leverage! What a great finale.
The first half I kept saying "no, no, no, you are kidding me" to myself. I was so distracted by how well it was done that it was very hard to remind myself that of course they can't do that, it has to be a con. The death scenes! *sniffles* (I bet the actors loved it.)
All the call-backs, including the elevator clothes change, but with slight differences to show how they changed, great.
And then, Sterling! The unraveling! How are they all so awesome? Sophie! "I have seen Sophie Devereaux play a dozen people. Drunk." Parker, with the zipline and as officer and talking to Nate. Nate, with beautiful acting because Sophie directed him. And Sterling - Nate and Sterling, and when Sterling thinks Nate sacrificed his team, and then the two of them showing off to "the kid" Casey - she'll grow up one day!
I loved seeing how all the characters grew up, how comfortable they are now with each other and with themselves, especially Parker and Eliot.
The proposal scene, awww. The only thing I didn't like was the way it almost seemed to equate "marriage" with "retirement": they could have made it clearer that Nate retires because he's ready for it, and he proposes to Sophie because he's ready for it, and she agrees to retire with him because she's ready to settle down too, and these could be separate things but here it makes perfect sense that they aren't for Nate. He's healed enough that he could use a case connected with his son as a fake con.
Now the kids are grown up! They'll take care of each other, I love it, and there was almost an invisible group hug and tears. *hugs them* A fantastic ending.

Doctor Who Christmas Special: The new intro is certainly dramatic. It has less TARDIS, which at first glance makes me inclined to like it less, but it took me a while to get used to the old new intro too.
And new TARDIS interior! It looks like a logical progression from 9's, even more tech-y.
Very beautiful scenes and clothes, I especially love the sky staircase.
Random thought: The Doctor is not very good at whistling, did we ever hear him sing?
The contrast between the Doctor here and as we last saw him is very big. Ponds are gone, but it still seems a bit much! I have the horrible suspicion that something has happened to River :(
"Hello. I am a lizard woman from the dawn of time, and this is my wife." <3
Usually Doctor Who is very good at making things scary, but the snowmen here weren't particularly frightening for some reason.
Clara is interesting, I think I'm going to like her.
The plot was okay, the mystery of Clara is intriguing, and overall I enjoyed it a lot.
