Well still one ep to go, so I'm holding out on judgements (I remember Jackson's season 2 arc...). Having said that, if what we got in the last ep is how we end up, I'm satisfied. I always prefer a 'clean cut' rather than a fudged 'move away' just to be never heard of again (still remembering Brenda on BH90210 there, scared for life).
Also, a death scene is often considered a sign of respect and 'parting gift' for the actor/actress, an oportunity to shine and dominate the scene. In view of Allison's development it also makes sense for her, to die in battle, and to die because she was saving somebody else, so, despite the painfulnes of it all, I'd be okay with this ending. She was an effing great character, who will be missed.
