Purple flowers

I used to have a flower in my room:


An African violet, a present from my mom's friend. It was very pretty, I loved it a lot, and to my great surprise (I have a terrible history with plants in my room) it bloomed twice! And then it died :(
I kept its corpse in my room for weeks, because I was too lazy to throw it away and withered flowers are also kind of pretty.



Yesterday I saw a plant that I liked in a florist and today I have a new beauty in my room:

Isn't she pretty? A succulent plant, so she should be easy to take care of and hopefully will survive a while. :)

Aww, succulents are so cute! I hope your little plant in its happy yellow pot thrives for a long time to come. (I am so bad at potted plants we only get cut flowers...)

If it survives for one year I'll be very happy, I think two would already be a record ;)

Aw, that is a lovely little succulent!

My understanding is that it's not all that hard to be easier to take care of than African violets... although I might be just deciding that that's the case since I've killed both the ones I tried to keep. Oops.
