I normally don't read online newspapers, and I'm not yet good or patient enough to try the Russian papers. But today I was bored enough checked. Apparently there's a crazy person driving around in my home town shooting people with an air rifle. O.O

(Not in our district, fortunately. I wonder what the tabloid headlines look like?)

The current corruption scandals are almost too many to list them all and certainly too many to keep track of, which kind of says everything necessary about Austrian politics. Personally I love this song, which lists scandals to "We didn't start the fire." It will make no sense to people not familiar with Austrian politics, but I think it's hilarious. And the "list of inspirations" in the google docs file is very sad.

Also there's currently a "Slash Film Festival". Horror movies were not what I first thought of.

Me too! (OMG, fandom has so corrupted us!)

The Sniper? I hope the get this crazy person soon! Don't ask me about the headlines - I stopped reading papers a long time ago in order to save my sanity.

Same with the politics. Such greedy people trying to lead us and work for us? Throw them all out!

I prefer not to think of it as corruption. Fandom has broadened our horizons!

Well, sometimes I daydream that I have super Superpowers and reise die Weltherrschaft and mich and clean some things up and then retreat into my flat on the moon and keep a watchful eye on earth while they people on it govern themselves... *sighs*

I did that, too! And then I tried to write the story (I think Mary Sue stories are a very good thing for one's mental health) and kept running into problems like "but what if they screw it up again?" and "actually I would need to sleep" and "I don't want to do this all by myself - I need a group of smart, trustworthy people... and they need minions... and then we have bureaucracy again, dammit" and "wow, that would be super stressful." My story ended up as dystopian apocafic -.- But we were launching a resistance movement! ^^
