So much glitter and light

I wanted to watch the Pens-Lightning game yesterday and had to stop after the first period because I was too upset about the injuries. (and why the FUCK did they let Tanger come back and play.) This is the side of hockey I dislike the most. And no supplemental discipline wtf that is exactly the wrong signal. I'm no longer excited for this series :( and I'm angry that I'm not.

I watched the Eurovision Final again! I liked Cyprus best, also Austria (no really), France, and a few others I already forgot (I think Bulgaria?) Germany didn't deserve last place, but I guess better than last year when they got zero points. Idk why Sweden got so many points, the guy barely had a voice. My favorite conspiracy theory is that Australia stole our votes (again!)
I hope the light technicians are paid well, some of the light shows were spectacular.
There must be voting analysis of Eurovision, and now with the jury/public separation this could become even more fun. (Poland!) Ideal would be having the details of both, of course. Austria gave twelve points to TranssylvaniaPoland, I guess people here like vampires. I enjoyed the Austrian commentator, sometimes he had fun comments and sometimes completely random ones like "and by the way what happened to the balloon from Felix Baumgartner's jump?"

Don't ask most Australians, we are still trying to work out when we became part of Europe :) It is wildly popular over here, but...

Last year I thought it was an exception for the 60 year anniversary of Eurovision, but I was very surprised to see Australia again this year! And they had an American sing, it's getting worse and worse... ^^

Ahh, thank you, but I can see how the dissonance between dress and background might have been the downfall. I liked Cyprus best as well! And had some other favourites like Israel. And I'm kinda sad Australia didn't take it, but overall a ballad heavy year!

I know they told us the german vote on the local broadcast, so I think that information is probably being made public somewhere. I agree, the potential for doubled hate is very limitless!

Overall I thought it was boring compared to previous years, especially the first half. I want more ridiculous stuff! Maybe that's why the vampire got votes (but I want entries that are ridiculous AND sing well...) Rumors said if Australia had won next year Eurovision would have been in Munich, that could have been fun.

I LOVED Bulgaria, but wasn't surprised they didn't win. Germany was just trying too hard while being too forgettable. But I liked Cyprus too :D
Sweden had a lot to do with charisma I think. I remember nothing of the song, but that guy was ridiculously comfortable on the stage.

I liked the Swedish song, but he didn't have the voice for it. Charisma maybe, but it sounded very weak. At least iirc he wasn't one of the singers where my brother the musician grimaced the whole time through because they were off key ^^
