Spontaneous Me: I want to go to the debate club tomorrow evening!
Rational Me: No.
SM: I want to! I can meet new people, learn things, it´ll be interesting and fun!
RM: No.
SM: Why not?
RM: We have an exam tomorrow.
SM: The debate club is after that!
RM: We also have to iron, go shopping, work on the presentation for the parish, prepare the texts for next week´s lectures...
SM: We can do that on Thursday.
RM: We won´t.
SM: How do you know?
RM: Remember what happened when we got up early today so that we´d have more time to study?
SM: That wasn´t our fault.
RM: Yes it was.
SM: Fine. But I swear we´ll do better.
RM: Right. That´s why we´re online right now instead of studying for tomorrow´s exam. Which also happened yesterday, and the day before yesterday, and-
SM: I get it! No, really, we´ll go offline right now and study. The whole evening.
RM: This will not go well.
SM: Give me a chance!
RM: Fine. If we learn chapter four AND repeat chapters two and three, including the formulas, this evening, we can go to the debate club tomorrow.
SM: That´s a lot.
RM: I know.
SM: Fine! We´ll do it. You´ll see.
Actual Rational Me: You do realize that how much you study now has nothing to do with all the things you have to do tomorrow evening.
RM&SM: Shut up!
ARM: For debate club you might want to think about a change of strategy.
RM&SM: *sulk*
