Suddenly: warm
Apr. 14th, 2018 12:07 amI haven't been posting much recently, partially because lately I've been in a whiny mood a lot, and that doesn't work as well in text as it does offline because it's harder to convey the tone/degrees of "yes this sucks and I want to complain about it but at the same time I realize it's not actually too bad or at least manageable." I'm not doing great but I'm overall okay.
Contributing to my recent low energy is probably the fact that even though I've been taking supplements for a few months now, I found out that I'm still too low on iron and vitamin D. I'll need to be more deliberate with my nutrition; fortunately it turns out that banana-peanut-spinach-smoothies taste surprisingly good. I've also gone running again a few times, I want to do that more regularly now that it's warm outside again, and not in the evening/night as I did last year but in the (late) morning so that'll be extra sunshine too. And it feels good to know that my body can do more. (Not much yet, but small steps.)
I decided that I'm only taking two uni classes this semester, labor law and tax law, and I'll concentrate on doing those properly (also important because there are other classes building off these later, especially in tax law.) Then maybe I'll finally manage to be more active in looking for a job.
There's a bunch of small but annoying stuff that's not working out as I want that I'm trying not to take too seriously – as a Christmas present I invited DD to a Star Wars concert this weekend but completely forgot to get tickets, I made muffins for my grandmother's birthday but they turned out really ugly, things like that. But DD said she forgave me, and the muffins might still be okay and even if not, my mom made a cake.
In general things are looking up now, slowly but I'm optimistic. And the weather is sunnier (and so warm suddenly!), that helps. :)
